Females are very quick to jump to the defence of, and are often infatuated by murderers (Ted Bundy), abusers (Chris Brown), violent criminals (Jeremy Meeks) and child rapists (Ian Watkins). Despite this they often fail to come to the defence of an Ugly man for the same crime, such that I cannot name any as without significant female attention they simply fade into obscurity, whereas men like Meeks have instead been made models because of their mugshots being published.
Time and again females will claim that personality is important to them, yet being a rapist, or a murderer or a violent criminal doesn't deter them one jot if the perpetrator is also physically attractive.

People saying men do the same: 1: men are expected to only care about looks. Females, however, consistently perpetuate the myth of personality mattering more than looks. B) Females guilty of crimes are often given far more leniancy by both the courts and the media, to the point where they cannot even be convicted of "rape", making them immediately more sympathetic than a man convicted of the same crime
Why do females always absolve the crimes of attractive men but not ugly men?
Of course. The number one female fantasy is rape, and they always try and justify it by, "Oh, but the rapist we imagine is hot, not ugly". So it's no surprises that good-looking criminals get sympathy and even love letters from women.
There's an actual term for this phenomenon, and it's called the halo effect. Basically, it's a cognitive bias, in which one trait of a person is used to make an overall judgment of that person. According to studies, attractive people are perceived to be more approachable, smarter, and funnier than less attractive people. So, when an attractive person commits a crime, Society overall is in shock because they believe that crimes are usually committed by unattractive people. This is because their attractiveness leaves a positive impression on the brain, and they associate that positive impression with other positive connotations, such as being more trustworthy, and someone of high moral standard. This, is opposite of horn effect. In which, a trait that is deemed negative, leads to an overall negative judgement of that person. For example, in many societies, particularly in the united states, having dark skin (specifically being black/ of African descent) is viewed as negative and society has a negative view of black people overall). Of course this is racism, but I believe the horn/halo effect has a part in this. When Studies have shown that there is no correlation to having darker skin and committing crimes. Here's a more simpler example, in the United States, black cats are least likely to be adopted, and they are associated with bad luck. Why is that? Because black is seen as negative trait. Getting off the subject of race, let's think about weight. People who are overweight are deemed to lazy, and sometimes unhygienic. This is because being overweight is a negative trait in our society. This is why Ted Bundy was able to do what he did for so many years. He was a white, attractive male. Two traits that are deemed positive in our society, so the general public don't expect it to be someone like him.
I dunno dude, some women like killers regardless of what they look like. I'm sure a more attractive one will get more admirers, but why should that be unnatural? The problem in general is that women are drawn to violent criminals in the first place, it doesn't matter if they have double standards, it is disturbing on it's own that women are aroused by men who kill even children.
It's always amusing to see all the women in here in denial. "What? Women don't like murderers!" When practically every sensational killer has it's female fan club.

There is a HUGE DIFFERENCE between saying what is true---that killer, murderer or not, that a guy is attractive vs. actually absolving them or their crimes or wanting to date/sleep with them if given the opportunity.
The same thing you describe happens with the attractive female teachers who have sex with their underage students. Guys are like, "she's hot, I'd do her too," rather than this is a woman who has abused her position of power to take advantage of a student----but does that mean that guy if he's a father would still think the same if it were his son?
Big picture, as a society men and women alike value beauty. Even in the worst human beings, we all still have eyes, but when it comes to this idea that that beauty in your mind, should preclude that person from serving jail time or having justice served, I think that is a small subset of people with psychological problems who cannot recognize right from wrong.

People in general, both men and women, treat attractive people better than ugly people. My theory on it is that appearance indicates good genetics and we naturally want to be more considerate to the better humans.
Usually charisma blinds people, whether they are Male or female criminals. The more attractive you are and charismatic, the more likely people are to be filled by you. It's just how humans are. It's silly, but no matter how they look, a criminal should do the time for their crime.
Yuck. I don't know what girls you've been around, but I would NEVER absolve the crime of a guy no matter what he looked like. I think that's insane.
There's never an excuse to murder someone unless it's out of self defense, and never an excuse to rape. I don't want anything to do with anyone who takes any part in that stuff, or any apologists.
Never heard of girls doing this. If a man killed a child, it wouldn't matter what his appearance was, his crime is horrendous and deserves punishment. Ivr heard people doing this for like, celebrities, but thats because they are a fan.
Also, men do the same shit to, even with teachers who have under age sex with boys. They always say how much they wish their teachers did that, just because the woman was hot. So don't act like men are angels.
well i can say that i genuinely don't judge like that, however it is human nature to naturally be attracted to the attractive. However, people in general shouldn't discriminate based on physical looks, but then you are bound to get those odd people who do think that and i don't think they speak for all women personally and to think like that, is being quite narrow minded
Because women tend to jump on the bandwagon by judging unattractive men, however when an attractive man is in the same wrong doings as the unattractive man, he will almost always get more sympathy from women.
In my opinion, guys do this stuff as well. Maybe not to this extreme, but we as humans allow attractive people to get away with more. It's unfortunate, but it's true.
People just like to judge people by their looks. E. g. when really ugly people try to flirt its gross or creepy but when attractive people do it its hot. Just human nature I guess ╮(._.)╭
The scenario is less common but men do the same with hot women.

You forgot to include the Boston Marathon bomber (I think it was Tsarnev). Girls were saying, "he can't be guilty, he's too cute." Their response was based on the popular media picture of him.

Because women are pigs and they treat hot guys the way we treat attractive females. The only difference is, they have a higher level of what they find attractive than what we do.
