Am I supposed to "mold" my girlfriend?

I've always heard that "behind every good man, is a great woman."

Well, I've only personally seen that the women I end up with are only great when I push them. It's like they wait on me to unlock their potential.

Now, I do see some great results with them, but where are these women who push men to be at their best. Of do I have this all wrong and it doesn't work that way.

p.s. I can motivate myself, I would just like a supplement every once in a while, that's all:)

I'm the better half, and I push Him/Her

He/She is the better half, and they push me

We balance each other out perfectly

I tell everyone we balance each other only because I'm the weaker one lol

clarity: I'm not talking about "changing" other people. I'm talking about helping people be their best. It's her decision about the direction she desires to go, I just orchestrate it from behind the scenes.

There are women like that, but no one is perfect, and it may be that not all the time people can help others, they need to help themselves first. Women have to protect their own interests sometimes, and don't necessarily want to cheer on a man if she sees that he is not worth it, won't reciprocate, or any other reason she would need to protect herself. The same goes for a man, but maybe you just go for weaker women?

Relationships are all about keeping that 50/50 ratio balanced! Both people in the relationship should be pushing each other to be their best! The weight shouldn't fall on one person alone.

It would help if you gave specific examples, but I think it's the type of girl you're ending up with. I have dated both men that are leaders and men that need pushing.

I'm a natural leader. I've been developing this gift over many years. But, like most, I have my "off" moments. I just know that sometimes I get stuck in a rut (so to speak), and wonder if I should be expecting my woman to nudge me out of it, or should I look elsewhere and not think it's strange that she doesn't

Well if you're expecting something you know she is not capable of then you should be looking elsewhere. It's not strange if she doesn't, I'm assuming she just thinks you know what you are doing. I think she should at least try though.
