I think my little sister is lesbian what do I do?

My sister is 13 years younger than me she’s 12. She’s told me that she doesn’t like boys or girls. I remember when I was a kid knowing exactly what I liked. I kind of feel like she likes girls but isn’t fully sure yet because usually you know girls like boys boys like girls etc. I don’t care what she likes she’s my only sibling I’m rocking with her regardless. I just would like to know how to approach that topic with her. Should I directly ask her? Or when we talk about it again let her know that I wouldn’t care if she’s gay and don’t ask her and let her come out to me when she’s ready? She’s kind of one of them “popular” girls so she might want to hide it from people.

Uh... Just because you liked girls at that age it doesn’t mean everybody else likes boys/girls at that age as well. Not everybody are like you. And even if she did like someone (even if it’s a boy) she might not tell you because she might be embarrassed. There is also asexuality/aromantic, among other things, that would make her not interested in anyone - boy or girl. I had never been in love or had any sort of romantic interest in anyone at her age. I fell in love when I was 23 years old - with a guy. I was/am certainly not a lesbian because of that and when my family hinted at it being ok being lesbian (because they probably thought I was, just like you do, just because I had never shown any interest in anyone but I was in my late teens/early twenties at that point) it was just annoying. Anyway, you don’t do anything because it’s non of your business. And she is TWELVE. She is a child. Jesus.

Just trust her. She’s a kid. If she says she doesn’t like either one, then there’s no reason to doubt that. She could well be asexual.

Don't force her. Maybe she's aromantic or asexual, maybe she doesn't get crushes or feel attracted to anyone yet. She's a child. She should focus on friends and school. If she feels safe coming out and is, she can come out when she's ready.
