I like him so much and that's why I always get very nervous whenever we talk (despite the fact that there is no reason to be nervous). And that often results in me saying some cringeworthy things, or telling bad jokes, or subtly bragging about something, or just acting stupid! He never called me stupid, but I am ashamed of my behavior, and I understand that I wouldn't want to continue to behave this way, and this is not me speaking, but my anxiety. But I don't know how to stop...
Superb Opinion
You said it's not you speaking, but unfortunately, the silly and "weird" things are coming from you, or at least a part of you, I'd say that while you're getting used to talking with him, own that nervous part of you; you have nothing to be ashamed of. And before you know it you'll stop being nervous. It's just a matter of how much time you spend around him before you get over the nervousness and start being comfortable.
