Do you think my comment would offend/Creep someone out?

So I watched the Movie about Ted Bundy on Netflix. I thought I could handle it because there were no killing scenes. Also, the tone of the movie was chilling but not actually scary-at first. Until the end of the movie. (Spoiler if you haven’t watched the movie) At the end of the movie Ted Bundy’s ex girlfriend Liz seeks closure. She admits that she is the one who gave his name to the police and shows him a picture given to her by a detective 10 years earlier that she hadn’t had the guts to look at until recently. It showed a headless, topless body discarded in the woods. And the tone immediately went from sad and tragic to horrific. He lied about his involvement multiple times and more and more, his capacity for evil became evident as he looked his ex fiancé in the eyes and lied to her about a murder that actually happened in real life. These people REALLY died and he was lying like it was nothing. I recognized people I know in my own life with the capability to lie so effortlessly, and as I watched him finally feel compelled enough by her cries for the truth enough to write the details of his confession in a simple admission to the weapon he used to behead his victim - “a hack saw”- the tone dropped as you felt a recognition in people you know being just as silly, and charismatic, and adamant of their humanity and their “goodness” as Ted Bundy was until shit hit the fan. And you realize that monsters can be anybody.

That’s just how I felt after I watched the movie. So, I was home alone and creeped out by the movie so I asked this guy I have been seeing to come over. He didn’t want to leave his house so late. I understood but I admitted I was a bit scared about the movie. Then I jokingly said “it’s ironic that I would invite you over after watching a movie about a serial killer.” Then After I said I was just kidding, he didn’t text back. It was late so I figure He probably fell asleep. But then I started thinking I hope my comment didn’t offend or creep him out
