I used to be that girl that sat around, hoping he would notice me if I spent time with him, coyly flirted, and hinted that I liked him.
Then I grew up and realized I don't have time for that, nor does it work. So if I like a guy, and he won't ask me out, I ask him out!
Assuming: 1) he's single and 2) he's shown some signs of being interested in me.
The only downside is, so far I've done that and it doesn't work, lol.
That might just be me and my bad luck, but I rather ask a guy out and be rejected, than wait around wondering why he won't ask me out.
That's so unbelievably rare. You're well ahead of the curve.
@Omario2049 Thank you! :)
Trust me, there ARE women out there that want to approach you guys. Just try not to be too shocked or taken back by us okay?
@Prideful Oh I get it, I do. That "me too" movement screwed that up unfortunately. I'm NOT saying such incidents don't happen, however, women who cry "wolf" too many times have scarred men from wanting to approach women at all for fear of being accused of harassment.
That's why if a guy seems like he's interested in me, I at least try to show him, "Hey, yeah... it's okay to talk and approach me." At least give him a green light. If he's still not approaching? Well like I said, I'm too old to play the waiting game anymore; I'll just ask him out myself, lol. Worse he'll say is no or he's already seeing someone.
Guys like me will always admire girls like you š
It depends on the setting, I've recently developed a crush on a guy working in tescos and although I think he's cute and all I doubt I'll ever make a move. As I just don't know him is he single or in a relationship, is that a smile for me or is that something he gives to every customer. I've never asked a guy out but I have gone old school both times and told said guys that I do like him so the ball is in his court. If he does nothing with that info then he didn't like me and I feel a little hurt but move on. Nothing ventured nothing gained
Yeah both those times I was in high school, I sent a text to the guy I liked and apparently everyone told him it was me and he then asked me out. In times since like in pub situations (before covid, anyway), I'll chat laugh and touch elbows, lean closer to him touch or hold him unnecessary, get close to chat in his ear, compliment him all random things like that, all of which I'll never do with a friend.
--------------Most of these women will come to GAG and ask if he is interested or not even though he is showing no signs of being interested they will hope that just one guy might say YES he is definitely interested. LOL
Coach T Anthony @thedatecoach IG
Most women don't have the spine to make a move. And then they bitch about being lonely. I just love seeing it 😹
MHO well deserved
Some of us have the spine but realize a male ego is fragile and more often than not they are put off by women showing their masculine energy doing the pursuing.
And of course, all males have the same ego, right? And pursuing is "masculine" energy. Yeah, I bet you have as much spine as a pool of vomit.

It depends. If I see he even might not be interested, I do nothing and let it be. In the past though I introduced myself and was initiating contact or proposing to meet on a friendly term. Keep in mind, although I see everywhere comments like guys wanting girls to make a first move, it scares guys off if you are not smoking hot, I donāt share the experience you described. Still, maybe they were more of a chaser themselves, I myself find it less frightening to make a move myself than to get made a move on though.
Well.. it's good for women sometimes to ask out lol. There was a girl at highschool who was into me, I didn't even have any idea about her.. then a friend of mine told me about her, few days later she said she wants to go on a date and know me, so we did.
I don't know why its sometimes very big deal for women to not ask men out, some men experience tragedies in their life, some of them get rejected a lot and lose their motivation to do it more. You can't expect everyone to be same and ask you out, there are shy guys around the world as well.
I asked my partner out... although I didnāt full on ask him out. I left him my number and said it was there if he ever wanted to call me sometime.
It really depends on how a guy acts around a woman. If heās acting at least a little interested, itās worth a shot, of not, we take it as a sign to leave it be.
Your best bet, no bullshit, is to say (in person or email, etc.) this semi-playfully; "So... are you gonna ask me out, or what?" Just give a wry smile when you do. This is like a cheat code that most women don't know - it will get you an honest answer if he doesn't ask you out, but, chances are that he will. Even if he is below 50/50 of wanting to date you, doing that will push him over the edge. But use it sparingly, as it is remarkably effective. Go get him, Honey!
I ask men out if I like them, I donāt care. If I am interested I show interest. Plain and simple. If he doesnāt take the bait then heās not into me enough so why bother caring any longer
Wow you rock šŖš»
@shydude1991 @Shoichiro thank you!
@magiusX26 she's the best
Nah, this is 21st century. I will make the first move. Iād ask him out. The worst thing he could say is āNoā and Iād be embarrassed for like an hour tops. Iāve got nothing to lose. Iād ask him out!
But, Iād ask him out only if Iām sure that heās single
I would ask him out. I find it so interesting how so many guys on here say they want a woman to ask them out but in my experience no guy will ever date a woman who has the proverbial balls to do it. Go figure.
I would be like do u wanna hang out? If he keeps hanging out with me i would be like do u want me to be your girlfriend?
Yeah i was very straight forward.
I'd be pretty flirtatious. Maybe even invite him to go out in a group type setting with some friends or co-workers. If he doesn't act interested I'd take the hint and move on lol.
Ask him out myself I'm not afraid to go get what I want
If only more women were like you
I'd probably be too shy to ask him out. Eventually I would flirt with him and then maybe confess. However, if he don't seem interested or reciprocated - I'd moved on.
give the man you like to have a chance don't wait for him to ask you. if you like him then ask him if you would like to cook something together that is always nice and comes across nice while cooking you can get to know each other best or maybe ride a bike together that arouses the interest of everyone because it is something different instead of Kfc to meet for half a bucket
All I can do is give him easily understandable signals if he does not ask out it could be one of the two reasons 1) He isn't enough attracted to me or didn't think of me in that way 2) He doesn't have the balls to ask out (sorry for language). I strongly believe that if the guy isn't making the first move in relationship it won't be smooth. It just doesn't feel right.
i can see your point and perspective yet repectfully disagree on it going smoothly or not if you make the first move. have seen a few relatiinships where the woman made the 1st move that run just as smoothly as those that the guy made the 1st move. and plenty of relationships where the guy acted 1st that are about as smooth as the Rockies.
I always hate if a girl asks me out because the answer is always going to be no. If I am interested I will ask her. And I appreciated that she had the guts to ask me so I hate having to tell her no. I would rather have a girl tell me no than have to tell her no.
Ask him out then move on if he's not interested or slow.
When I was younger, being an extrovert I had the guts to ask a guy that I liked but as I got older I became an introvert and I cannot do so. Sometimes but rarely, I give signs that I am interested but the guy won't respond the way I'd like.
how do you want them to respond?
That he is interested too.
I used to ask guys out but it screwed up the whole dynamic I was aiming for where I ended up being the one more invested and doing more of the work. Not into that.
Being slick about getting noticed worked much better in my favor.
A guy you really like. You overvalue your self. I bet your life is full of anxiety and hate.
Your life sucks. You can't even leave the house without a panic attack. You're so precious, if you got just a scratch it'd be a tragedy.
lol I've literally come across a girl like this, they are masters at deception, almost like they've got multiple personality disorder. The funny thing is they are only like this with guys they really like.
Guys have dignity and self-esteem. Anyway this is all over-rulled if your pheromones and his will be irresistable to each other. Lots of couples are guided to each other in this way. You can't resist.
oh thats interesting, what kind of situations would impact a guy's pride?
only one I've come across is having my date rearranged for a Saturday because she wanted to see a guy on a Friday. For jokes i said okay, and the girl got a shock lol since then she's been chasing me and my pride got in the way āŗ her activation was seeing me around lots of school kids at a science fair. There's her maternal desire. Ash if a guy's pride gets in the way thats a good reason, sorry.
haha what's kiss chase?
We all know how 'pursuing' women works out, you waste your time and she gets free attention
Its not a risk its a sacrifice. 20 years past since your sweet 16. Damn.
Married women carry an element of trophism and certain value. You need to know if you're still desired, but is their word enough? Do you need to go all the way to really be satisfied? I think so
Kinda sad how some of the women here state that they will move on cause apparently he's not man enough if he doesn't approach.
For the girls who said they'd approach him, you guys are awesome and please do continue being awesome!
Flirt with him first and if he's into it but not making a move, then I would suggest it
@magiusX26 oh hun, I would do just the right amount of flirting š. You don't have to worry about that
I don't know. Men move mountains to make things happen when they really want to. When they really want to. If a man does not ask you out, he probably just doesn't want you enough, so I guess that's the signal to move on.
Not true, i have a crippling fear of women
@shydude1991 What are you afraid of, exactly? I would like to understand.
@Lildiq You never asked anyone out? Do you mind me asking why?
It's because i suffer from love-shyness
@Lildiq Everyone deserves a partner. A lot of terrible people have a partner, so why wouldn't you? And I know what it is to have low self esteem in a world like this. Of course, I won't promise you every woman you approach will be nice, but there are really nice girls out there, who will find awkwardness lovely. I know I do, even in guys I don't see that way. You'll have to believe you'll find someone, and search for them.
Do it with fear. Is the best way to avoid regrets later.
@shydude1991 Do you feel this way with your friends that happen to be women? Treat the woman you like as a friend first and go up from there.
If he isn't asking you out then chances are he doesn't like you. Men go for what they want. They are hunters by nature.
@Ukrainianbuddafly
You expect the guy to do the asking out. What's stopping you asking the guy out?
@MysteriousDarkness I like masculine dominant men that will speak up for what they want
@Ukrainianbuddafly
Doesn't mean you cannot ask them out
@MysteriousDarkness I could I just don't.
@Ukrainianbuddafly
The reason is because you can't handle rejection.
I continue to admire him from afar.
So, poll option D.
"Sorry I have to go but I was just wondering if I can give you my number really quick"
āHereās my number. So call me maybeā
proof that feminism never really exists other than to obtain a better position wherever it benefits a woman. sadie hawkins that shix up and GET YOUR MAN. some of us guys find that a huge turn-on...
if you women think us guys are so damn stupid - why would you expect us to know to ask you out?
Deep down what's stopping me from asking her out it's because I'm worried that she's not going to like my sexual preferences because I been rejected a lot after them finding finding out.
I see his body language and try to talk to him if he seems to like me back.
I'm sure the overwhelming vast majority of them will be passive about it, as much as it annoys me and fills me with resentment
I donāt ask him out cause itās useless. If he really had interest he would ask me out in first place. Donāt bother to chase either.
So true.
@tesscasie
If you really had interest in a guy you would ask him out.
you're probably really attractive, youd need to be on the lines of "i feel lonely, i think im going to just get lots of cats" etc to get a guy to ask you out
They probably expect the woman to do everything lol
@Voulezvous is raising children a good excuse for a woman to suddenly stop working? Who is needing who š¤Ŗ
@Alejandro3000 Are you hurt, boo? Who said anything about raising kids? Smh, getting off topic.
@Voulezvous the point is it's more beneficial for women to marry
@Alejandro3000 Why are you talking about marriage? Stay on topic, please.
and this is why you are still single.
I ask him out that is why I am married today lol
It's funny u say that because most married couples I know, the wife was the one who innitiated first contact. She approached him. But I did hear a woman on here explain that women only approach men who look like they wouldn't approach a woman. If u look like u'll approach a woman then she'll never approach u first. I still don't quite know what that meant but maybe u can.
Rationalize that heās not worth it and force themselves to abandon their feelings.
Forget about it and move on. If he liked you, he would have already asked out.
@Voulezvous
You expect the guy to do the asking out. What's stopping you asking the guy out?
@MysteriousDarkness As I said, if I have to ask the guy, then it means he wasnāt interested in me in the first place.
@Voulezvous
A guy can think if he has to ask you out you are weren't interested in him in the first place. It works both ways so niw what do you have to say?
so you rather give the responsibility away, then to take the opportunity to ask him out instead?
that is pretty cruel, some people need help (speaking of men and women). so if you are into a guy, you might help him to approach you or vice versa.
Iād shoot my shot.
That's the move of an Alpha female
Unfortunately this will always be very rare, I doubt there will ever be a century or a millennium in which women start firing the first shot or start asking guys out in the masses or droves
Thereāre more women out there who would go for what they want than you know. A lot arenāt shy or whatever but itās rare for someone to catch our eye cause the physical alone doesnāt do it for us. We wonder if the guy is reliable, if heās nice etc. With men the physical attraction is enough to approach a woman most of the time. So sometimes itās just us not being sure that we want the man because we donāt know him well but trust me if heās something we WANT, we are gonna go and get him one way or another.
Confess but not ask out
You expect the guy to do the asking out. What's stopping you asking the guy out?
@MysteriousDarkness It's a man's job. I am Asian and traditional.
probably move on from him
Find anouther
Period!!!
Exactly the entitlement we talk about. And yet I be you're on of those who beleive in equality and such. Talk about cherry picking.
@Omario2049 speaking of fruits, how are you today?
@uptowngirl88 š¹š¹ hi
You need to woman up š āļø and ask that guy you like out
So are you stubborn like the majority of women in which you feel it's the guy's role to ask the girl out?
@Omario2049 then learn to be a man instead of a whimp.
@shydude1991 you need to man up. You were born in 1991 talking about shy dude? Work on your insecurities
@Uptowngirl88 i agree with you but just likewise women who don't approach need to be learn how to be women instead of wimpy flowers.
@moviedude714 You don't know the majority of women. Sounds like you've been rejected a lot.
@shydude1991 women don't approach men. Did you grow up without a father or something? He should've raised you better if you had a father because he really messed up with you
@shydude1991 again grow up and work on your insecurities. Nobody wants an insecure man child
@Uptowngirl88 It's quite obvious as to what I'm saying, despite how modern the world has become, women still play a passive role when it comes to starting a relationship, as much as I've always hated and resented that, guys being expected to make the first move
@moviedude714 you don't know the majority of women. Have you traveled to asia, Europe, Africa, Latin America , Hawaii and all 50 states to know this? Where are your facts to support what you're saying?
@Uptowngirl88 it still feels or seems very rare for a woman to ask a guy out or to be the initiator in starting a relationship
@moviesdude714 because we shouldn't.
@Uptowngirl88 Why do you think it has to be the guys role to make the first move or do the asking out? What is the whole logic behind why going after what you want is a masculine thing?
@Uptowngirl88 Because you girls are pussies, that's why, fucking idiots always expecting the guy to lead and do everything.
@shydude1991 that's probably the main thing I've always hated about being born male, guys always being expected to make the first move or talk to women first
@moviedude714 it's almost as if women have no balls
@shydude1991 you're a 29 year old who still can't approach a womanš©. You sound bitter and like you've suffered from lifelong rejection. Who raised you? You don't talk like someone who had a father figure to teach him things
@Uptowngirl88 i have a father but he never taught me anything, i wasn't rejected but i lost a lot of opportunities for being shy because women are always expecting men to lead them and i was never able to approach them and be that leader.
@shydude1991 explains why you're the way you are you didn't have the role model to show you how to be a man. That's why you're so timid and blaming women when men are naturally leaders, hunters and competitive in nature. You're more feminine. Why do you think men get paid more than women? They're providers yeah your dad really short changed you. That's pretty messed up he didn't teach you
@shydude1991 honestly I'm not going to keep going over this with you. You're 29 and still lacking in experience so I don't see much hope for you at all. Your dad screwed you over mindset wise because you had no role model. So this conversation is a waste of time. The endā
@Uptowngirl88 And let us guys are supposed to enjoy or embrace taking the lead, I never enjoyed it
@moviedude714 so I'm supposed to be a loser jerk off till the day i die i guess
@Uptowngirl88 dudes have become too soft, you're right.
You're welcome š¤
@stunningAndbrave I know crazy isn't ut
@MysteriousDarkness cowardice
@MysteriousDarkness I don't need to thankfully. Plus if a guy doesn't have the guts to approach me then he's not my kinda guy anyway
But what if he's wonderful, just a little shy, you'd be missing such a great guy
@shydude1991 sounds like something a woman would say about herself.
Nonsense, i can deal with a tough woman
I'm not sure
Makes sense, sometimes girls ask guys out in couples so it's easier than a girl doing it on her own
@shydude1991 what is honestly stopping you from making a move dude? You can say the dumbest shit and be successful. If she's into you then cool if not find another.
@StunningANDbrave FEAR
@shydude1991 That's ok dude, but you have to understand that rejection is apart of dating. You will get over it. Women are not at all scary to talk to and approach. What is she gonna do besides say no? If she does then walk away without getting butthurt. At least you tried.
Why does it make a guy weak if he can't ask a girl out?
@moviedude714 because that means he's too scared to go after what he wants which could translate into other aspects of his life.
@moviedude714 he has no courage. I don't have the time or energy to fluff his fragile ego or teach him to be a leader/man if I wanted to date someone weaker I'd date a sensitive chick
@StunningANDbrave another reminder of how I never understood what is the damn logic behind why going after what you want is a masculine thing
@moviedude714 because masculine energy is not passive.
Likewise
@StunningANDbrave just because it's the way it is doesn't mean I have to like it or enjoy it
@moviedude714 It doesn't matter if you like it dude. Men have always had the burden of performance, embrace it and get better at it. Or let women and opportunities pass you by while you get bitter.
@StunningANDbrave yeah and apparently men are not supposed to view it as a burden, I don't know why we're expected to enjoy it
@moviedude714 Does achievement and mastery of yourself not sound enjoyable? A byproduct of those things if confidence which is very attractive to women.
@moviedude714 I'm gonna be a leader but I'm also going to be an asshole, if women want a leader then they have to put up with the shit that comes with it.
@shydude1991 now you're getting it.
I'm going to enjoy this š
@StunningANDbrave yep that's an understatement
@shydude1991 As you should, it's supposed to be fun. Find the line between being abusive and being assertive and your problem with women will disappear. She will love it when you have boundaries but don't be deliberately mean just for the fuck of it, no one likes that shit.
@StunningANDbrave i understand, i won't be mean just to make her miserable but i will be assertive and put my needs first because I'm the man and order her around because the man is the leader but i would never hit her or insult her, that's just abuse, women just want a man with alpha male behavior, that's all.
@shydude1991 I sense a bit of contempt in your post but understand that it doesn't have to be a bad thing, guy's are lied too far too much about what it is to be attractive to women and I understand why dudes get pissed off.
@StunningANDbrave exactly, thanks for opening my eyes, if i have any questions can i ask you?
@StunningANDbrave Reminds me of a quote I remember hearing somewhere, it is "men have to create their value, women have to protect their value"
@moviedude714 that is a very accurate quote. Which is why women would value conquest in men and men value women that haven't been whores.
@shydude1991 Absolutely dude š¤
@StunningANDbrave I'm sure testosterone will be the argument here
@moviedude714 You should try to barrow some from him
and yet its another reminder of how us guys, men, are supposed to embrace taking the lead, i never liked it
@IHateBeingaMan Why not? It's a lot of fun and you get to answer the tough question of "where do you want to go eat"
Ignore him, try to trap other guy
Respect his decision
Oh wait. I would approach him but if he did not like me i will respect his decision
show the pussy or grab his bulge
Yes Iāll wait
Move on
He's too weak for me. A real man approaches a woman. If he is expecting me to do what a man should be doing then he's sadly mistaken and if he hasn't asked me out then he's not interested
He is ātoo weakā, you say.
I suspect that you have no understanding of the hostile legal environment that has been created for men by Feminist lobbying.
In Britain and Denmark, approaching a woman can send a man to prison for years, because of the way that recent anti-catcalling legislation was worded.
For example, November 2019, a pick-up artist who had been taping a video about cold approaching on the street, in Glasgow, was gaoled for two years.
Elsewhere, approaching a female can result in an education or career ending sexual harassment complaint.
In the USA, male students risk an extra-judicial Title IX kangaroo court.
Women have made themselves too dangerous to approach and too dangerous to be around.
I went through nearly 20 years of bitchy rejections before I gave up.
Odd thing, after I stopped approaching women they began to approach me. Women on the wrong side of 35 tend to be less reluctant to initiate.
What does that have to do with a man simply saying , " would you like to go out for dinner or coffee sometime?"
Sending a man to prison for a approaching a woman sounds exaggerated I'd have to see some facts. The only way for a woman in Denmark to have a family is if a man expresses interest to her. I believe there is more to that story than just a woman being approached.
Still sounds like an excuse for a man to take on a feminine approach rather than a masculine approach.
Right , like it's just an excuse to take on the feminine role. None of them want to be men these days.
š¤£š¤£š¤£ me too
Girl I agree, š¤£..
They have to MoveOn
