Why is it that girls don't mind undressing in front of other girls but get embarrassed if seen by a man?

I guess a woman could be embarrassed for many reasons:
A. Because the guy is desirable to her but NOT interested in what he sees.
B. Because the guy isn't desirable to her but IS interested in what he sees.
C. Because she feels she's attracting more attention than she wants.
D. Fear that he sees it as a sexual invitation/advertisement when that's not intended. What happens if the guy follows her home later or something?

In some cultures it's totally normal for women to be butt naked in front of men in public baths and the men don't leer/or try to approach the women and women don't use their nakedness there to signal any interest in men. In my (U. S.) culture being naked is often seen as a prelude to sexual activity or some kind of invitation.

Good question. At one time, I thought it was dues to the interest guys have in women's bodies. Gals could undress in front of gay guys often without problems. But it has become apparent that many gals are gay, bi, or at least interested in giving it a try. Many gals are admitting that they are turned on by female bodies, or at least parts of female bodies. So if it is okay to openly change in front of women who are interested in women's bodies, why not in front of men?

How do you feel about undressing in front of men?

That's not true for all women. I hated getting undressed in front of other girls back when I took PE in junior high and high school- so much so, I used to change in the bathroom or shower area to avoid other girls seeing me!!!

I guess it depends on the girl and her comfort level- NOT sexuality. Not to mention, most women aren't going to feel threatened or judged by other females (in most cases).

Whereas a man seeing a female undressed is embarrassing because you KNOW he's judging your looks, body, and might get turned on... or off, by how you look.

I'll be honest with y'all- I don't want any man or woman seeing me get undressed, but that's just me.

Because we've been raised to believe that women are the reason men can't control themselves, instead of telling boys/men that they are in control of their own actions & reactions. So women would rather undress in front of other women because we've been taught to "control ourselves & our sexuality", whereas undressing in front of men we dont know if their going to physically assault us because "we were just asking for it by undressing in front of them".

As a guy, I often wonder about that but you notice something, girls can tell each other as friends they love each other, girls can go in the bathrooms together and not even feel weird, mind you there are girls on their period, some even sneak a smoke break without anyone noticing but on the other side you never see guys doing that stuff
And the reason they are embarrassed to undress in front of guys they just worry
how the guy will accept her, will he look at her skin or stretch marks on
her bum or legs, hell I don't care about stretch marks or if she undresses in
front of me or changes her pad or tampon and I just think girls worry about
things that don't matter to guys, I like a girl the way she is and I don't judge
them and for guys who make it a big deal need their balls kicked in for them
and I like girls of all shapes and sizes :)

Opposite for me. Im extremely uncomfortable dressing in front of the same sex. I hated the locker room days and would just stay in my gym clothes to avoid changing in front of them. A lot of girls supposedly got “turned” by the aggressive sports lesbians in the lockers room. Yea, no. Anyways, I’m only comfortable undressing for whoever I’m intimate with and even then i’d still be embarassed if its the first time we see eachother naked. It gets easier with each sexual act

This one wedding required all the women to change in one room and the women were so rude judging eachothers bodys. I was only 10 at the time so i had nothing for them to judge but the way they badmouthed eachother was awful

I would guess that when a girl gets naked with another girl, she doesn't think she is being evaluated as a potential sexual partner and that is the difference. But that's just my guess. You know, girls think differently than guys.

You're making a leap by thinking they're thinking about having sex with you, and if they were, clothes do not make a difference anyway.
