I don’t know why this girl ghosted me after she tried making me jealous and always trying to get my attention?

She tried making me jealous and trying to get my attention a number of times. I’d catch her staring at me and I didn’t know why she was doing all these things. Before this started we talked about hanging out one on one.
When I confronted her and asked her she denied so I ignored her and she was mad with me and upset at the same time, really emotional. So I decided to message her because I thought she would be better to open up then talking face to face. I told her how I felt and asked what she wanted and why she was doing these things. I told her how her behaviour made me feel and knew that me ignoring her pissed her off. She then blocked/ghosted me and I still don’t know why or what she wanted. Did she act this way because she wanted me to hurry up and ask her out? Then block me because I ignored her and she’s punishing me? Or is it something else I’m missing?

Maybe she simply wasn’t interested, and you read into it what you saw, but not how it actually was.
That happens when you like a person, but maybe next time, just ask her out

Yeah maybe. I just don’t know why she was acting this way because it’s not like I asked her out she was the one that mentioned hanging out first. It was obvious she was trying to make me jealous. Unless she knew I liked her and she was just playing with me. It’s hard to believe she would be like that though she was a shy, nice and genuine girl.

It’s just possible that she wasn’t interested, but your take in it is fair, and if it is, he dodged a bullet and doesn’t need to spend any more time worrying about.

Bad treatment is never justifiable... especially ghosting... but If somebody ghosts you, they aren’t into you.
They have may be enjoying the attention, but they were never that interested, that’s not gender exclusive.

Women ghost when they want drama and phone calls.
It doesn't work, but no one seems to tell them they can be clear, decisive, ask for things - just like men.
For some reason for girls it us seen as a positive characteristic to be conniving (on the assumption it is to give birth to a baby, so justified - but quite often it is neither to give birth nor justified)

Not every woman is looking for drama. It’s exhausting. You don’t need to generalise.
When a woman really likes a guy, she will be let it be known. If she is mature enough to even handle a relationship, that is.

Let it be known how? I genuinely feel she was interested but that I didn’t make a move, it was making her mad. I wasn’t just misinterpreting things, she was clearly upset I ignored her after I called her out with her behaviour. She even tried to approach me after but I was being cold towards her. That’s why I feel she is punishing me by blocking acting like she does care.

It was an inappropriate situation at the time. I wanted to ask her out but couldn’t. I just wanted to talk to her about it

It can’t speak for a stranger. We don’t have her side of the story, but from my point of view of someone I was hanging out with sent message like that to me, I would have responded, especially if the situation was important enough. The fact that she didn’t says a lot.
Maybe it just became over complicated and she is just done with it.
Both guys and girls can get to that point where you just think “either ask me out or don’t”
... it sounds exhausting, whatever went on.

Ghosting sucks because you don’t have any answers, but I still maintain that if someone finds it easy to just cut you off, they weren’t as into it as you perhaps thought they were.

I really wouldn’t waste anymore time on this girl if I were you.
It sounds like you really like her, but there is nothing you can do.

Difficult things that simply take over as priority do happen to people, that is true. Those are not at all easy times, all sorts of things could have gone wrong in her life that possibly have not in yours.
