Well, then it's best he goes from a lighter weight and move up until he finds the correct weight for his current strength. Instead of starting to bench press 50 kg, maybe try from scratch instead.

What do you mean struggle while working out?
Like shaking while trying to lift a weight because they're unsure of where they're at in terms of the weight level.

Like if they're lifting weights and their arms start shaking and they can't lift anymore.
Well, you're supposed to push yourself when you're training.
So I wouldn't think of it as a bad sign.
If the guy took a weight that's too heavy just to show off or something, that would just make him look stupid.
