Girls, Why would this girl try to stare me down?

So this girl in class was staring me down pretty intensely for most of class. Sometimes she looked very intensely on my forehead, then back to my eyes. She basically sat in a spot in the room where we were pretty much facing each other just about. Almost every time I diverted my attention from the professor to her she was looking dead at me. Even times where the professor wasn't even standing close to me, she looking right at me. Like at one point the professor was handing out stuff in the back of the room and as I turned my head around I noticed she was looking right at me.

I mean, she's attractive, but it got to the point where it was a little creepy. And after our eyes met again, I looked away very quick. So I literally stopped meeting her gaze and then gave surprised look or maybe hurt look, I wasn't sure tbh. It seem kinda ambivalent.

Aside from the constant staring, I picked up some clues of attraction, but what the hell is she doing there?

She seems attracted to you. Maybe she’s staring to make it so you would come up to her and ask about it. It’s a good way to get the convo started I guess lol.

I don't know really. I was attending the class yesterday and she was the only one in there. So I asked her whether the class ended, because I came late. She again looked intensely at my forehead. Responding pissed off with one-word answers also not seeming very excited. In the last weeks, she seem to be very excited when she saw me, but lately it is the opposite. Also she still has no problem to look at me during the lessons

I don’t know either. Best option is to ask her about the staring but in a friendly joking manner.
