So there’s this girl I like, we’ve been in the same class since 5th grade, we’re now in 10th grade. We’ve never really talked that much, we had texted like 4 times from 5th to 9th and it was mainly her or me pranking each other that we like each other. Never really done anything apart from making things awkward.
Going forward to 9th-10th grade, I notice that around the time I started talking to her best friend, she slowly started talking to me. It started with light teases and being playfully mean here and there (not everyday), and now its a little more than that and I feel stuck.
Skip to now (I’d say past 4 months), basically at least once a day she’ll share a few words with me and have small talk, but I find that 90% of the time she’s being really goofy about it and either teasing me or making fun of me (with a smile on her face). Sometimes she’s more serious and asks me questions about me and what I think of certain things etc.
This sounds like a good thing but my main concern is that there’s plenty of other guys she talks to and teases occasionally but at the same time I feel like her behavior towards ME is still a little different.
My name is Casey and a few times she’s called me “Casey Poo” and said like “Heyyy Casey Pooooo” with that tone a voice that sounds like she’s excited to see me. She’s also taken pictures of her on MY phone, she’s called me “mysterious” like twice, she’s called me goofy, quirky, weird (again, while smiling and laughing).
In terms of texting sometimes she replies to my IG stories and we’ll talk for like 10-15 mins but nothing much. When I text her first though (which is not often) it always seems to go wrong, but I think it’s just what i say.
She’s just never really been like this with me in the almost 6 years we’ve known each other and I’m not sure what it means.
If someone could tell me what it means, it would be appreciated.
