A lot of girls who guys consider 7-8/10 on looks scale are actually 5/10 when we see them in their natural state. Take for example the girl above who looks gorgeous as hell when she slathers on makeup but is pretty much average in face and wouldn't turn heads if you saw her in a grocery store. And seeing male standards for female body type tend to be more lax, girls don't really have to work to get a particular body to attract men as skinny fat often always good enough.

Most girls have a low self-esteem about their looks and underrate themselves. It is female nature to be too critical of yourself. Trust me we don't have that much confidence as men have. by the way I don't believe in assigning numbers to humans and we don't need plastic surgeries to be worthy.

I have friends who easily attract handsome guys and they have cried at least once thinking they're ugly. I also thought I am not pretty until my really handsome ex told me I am and it meant a lot coming from someone like him especially after he saw me without makeup in a ponytail. I always thought he was way above me and how did he even find me beautiful. He had that typically handsome face with a strong jaw and was tall.
Most girls don't think they're too pretty. At least that's what I have observed. We don't think we look like models even when we dress up. We work really hard in the gym even when our weight is normal for our height.

Can we agree that this applies on both sides, which is where I think this conflict comes from. @sacrifices I think that's a huge generalization about women. I don't think we can say "all women" when it's just a couple of women you've assumed in your normal life. A lot of women are insecure, but I am also not arguing that there are no such women that have hyperinflated egos. However, I have to be really honest and say that the standards for men described by women aren't low but aren't strict at the same time. There are exceptions, but I think everyone doesn't take the beauty standards super seriously. As long as you're average, someone will find interest in your personality if they find you interesting.

Yep. I have been rejected too many times. And I view women as bitches sorry to say. But when you've been rejected hundreds of times through no fault of your own it weighs heavily on you. And I find it very difficult to open up to anyone.
I am stone cold because of that. Every time I've tried to open up I've been treated like shit and viewed as "weak". I'm anything but. Because of this I've closed myself off and cannot trust anyone. Being a gamer I know about layers and underlying structure better than most people. Because I know how things in games are constructed. I think some women do but not all women. There are women who rate themselves as average but they're more beautiful than they think they are. I certainly don't consider myself an 8, a 9, or a 10 but my self-esteem and confidence isn't so low that I think I'm ugly. A lot of people think I'm pretty and say it too. No, I've seen men rating themselves higher than they are just as much or even moreso than women. In both genders, you get people who underrate and people who overrate, then you get people who have a pretty realistic view of their looks.

Personally I would rate myself an 8 and most people who have rated me without prompting have rated me an 8 or a 9. I'm actually quite self critical of my looks and tend to hone in on insecurities that other people don't usually notice, which I've noticed a lot of my friends do also. In regards to the makeup thing, yes makeup makes some women look a lot better but again this is not all women. I look better without makeup or with very minimal makeup than I do with heavy makeup. I just don't suit it.

It took me a long time to stop over valuing women. I had to learn psychology and neuroscience to realize they are just like men. I had to also start seeing them without make up too.
