She canceled a date and sent text next day. What to do?

I was going to go out with a girl Saturday afternoon. Not the first time. She told me what day was OK and even to get the drinks. She texted me Saturday morning saying she had to go to work and might end up late.

For a fact I know that the latest she gets out of work is 8pm. Which she told me she would let me know if she was out by that time.

She never told me anything and I texted asking her if she was off work. She never replied but read the text around 11. She texted me next day saying she was sorry and to forgive her. Nothing else.

The thing is I canceled some friends to be able to see her. She asked me to get some bourbon, so I did. And at the end she canceled. I'm pretty sure it was not work related. Maybe she was tired, maybe she didn't want to. Just why the f she said yes to everything and even asked me to get the drinks when at the end she bailed.

How should I respond to her text? Definitely not telling her I really wanted to see her.

First, never cancel your own plans for a woman. Women don't care about what you had to sacrifice for them, they will tell you that they didn't ask you to. So make them fit into your schedule. Trying to fit into their schedule says to them that you don't have much going on, which is unnatractive. Next, if she cancels the date, don't reach out afterwards. You didn't cancel the date, she did, so let her reach out to you to reschedule. If she deosnt, then you know she wasn't interested to begin with, and you're not wasting your time.
Lastly, if you know the latest she gets out of work is 8, then you know she wasn't interested man. There are other women, this one isn't for you. Always be willing to walk away from women that don't respect your time. Otherwise, women will take advantage. It's how they are wired.

Hate to break it to you but you sound like you're probably just an 80% guy meaning you dont really have any other options. If a woman cancels on you like that then you already know what it is. Just move on, not sure why you even text her in the first place or think you need to respond to her text.

She was probably keeping you as her back up plan in case her other date fell through, which it didn't. (I hate texting for these things but it is what your generation does, so. . .) Text her and say, "Sorry you couldn't make it. Let me know if you want to plan something together anytime soon." I'm guessing you won't hear from her again.

The problem is her not explaining herself nor suggesting another day to try again. If you should try again with her or let her pass, it's your call. For me, if she just apologized and nothing more, this says enough.

I'd stop dating her. "I'm sorry, forgive me" without even an attempt at an explanation is both rude and suspicious. My advice - don't initiate further contact. I'll wager she doesn't either.
