How would you feel if an ex-bf that's a close friend was ok with one of his friends wanting to be with you?

I'm 29m and my friend is 28m and he's experienced with women, the exgf is 25f and we broke up 2 years ago when she went away for school but we stayed friends.

I showed my friend what she looked like and told her how awesome she was and he immediately seemed interested and even asked for her number. At the time I didn't know what to think or do but now I'm more ok with it as I care about both people deeply and am ok with them being happy. So I am thinking I will be giving him the green light here... But I'm not sure what my ex would think about this situation and want to consider everything before I make a move.
