Girls, Why do women treat me like I'm a monster?

I was at a boardgame event with a social group. We had split off into tep groups, and some guys and I were going to play Citadel. One of the girls was at our table, but for some reason had to have a whole seat between her and any of us, and then just randomly left. None of us bothered her, and I could tell some of the other guys were confused and distraught about it too.

I know when I went to Europe with another group, the girls acted like every guy that even walked near them wanted to rape or murder them. Do you see all men as monsters unless they look perfect to you? I'm very fit and clean and try to be a good person, but it just feels like there's something about the way I look or act that makes women treat me terribly.

Honestly, board game groups - especially public ones - can be a huge sausage fest filled with misogynist creeps.

It sounds more like she didn't like the whole event, not just you.

Maybe one of the other guys at the table made her uncomfortable. Why do you think it's just you? Did she say something? Did you say something?

I know you can’t list every instance of feeling outcasted or “monstrous”, but in nothing you described here did I even get the impression that this was the girls intention. Like with the first one, maybe she wasn’t very sociable or shy around men, but for that to make you group of men distraught? That’s a strong and unnecessary word. Women are cautious because we have to be, but it doesn’t mean anyone is avoiding you like the plague or treating you like a social leper.
