What did they mean by "a lot more eye contact"?

I'm probably overthinking this and it's probably a compliment. A woman who worked in the same company as me awhile back came by for a visit and it was great to see her and she was glad to see me.

So we were sort of chatting like how's life been? And that I do a lot more eye contact. Now I don't know if that meant like when I saw her awhile back I didn't do a lot of eye contact and this is a good thing or if this is meant like I'm starring too much. I mean she was smiling either way.

It was cool to see her, platonically i mean.

What do you think of the "a lot more eye contact"? Is this a good thing that someone says to someone else?

I'd take that as a good thing. I think she was trying to tell you that you seem more confident. That's a good thing. I used to have problems looking people in the eye, I still do somewhat. But looking people in the eye is really the way to become closer/more connected/more intimate.
