Whats the longest chase you have given for someone?

i have been chasing the same girl 1 and a half years.

When I say chase I mean you want to date them, but have not yet. what's the period of time you have been flirting and trying to start something?

Oh wow! I looked at the other responses and I am so impatient compared to everyone else!

Once I have decided I am interested in a woman, and I have opportunity to interact with her regularly, I will ask her out in no more than 2 weeks. If I am seeing her for the first time, and it's likely I won't again, as in a chance meeting in the checkout line, say, then I will ask her out on the spot. If she says no, then I am done. DONE! I don't care whether she said no because the timing was bad, or she was stressed out that day, or whatever.

At that point, I have already taken the biggest risk, done all the hard work. She knows I am interested, and if she is interested at all, then the ball is in her court. She is an adult, and when she says no, I will believe that means no. If she really didn't mean no, it's up to her to approach me and explain why. But I am not going to chase- I am not going to humiliate myself. She either wants me, or she doesn't...

I don't want these things to go on and on without resolution. It's a waste of time in my opinion.

I so hate games! If you pursue a woman who can't give you a straight up yes or no, but continues to lead you on, then you are chasing a game player. And I hope you are up for it, because even if she says yes after a while, the fun is only just beginning. You will never know whether she means what she says. You will always deal with issues of respect in the relationship.

Maybe it's because I am older than most here. I know what I want, and women my age are also old enough to know what they want. You just get to a point in your life where you just want to quit screwing around- you say what you mean and mean what you say. Works for me!

3 months is my longest. In my younger going out years I would flirt and take em out the next day and see what happens, but it took me longer with the one of 3 months because I didn't see her regularly.

In my experiences with girls, most of them thought if I waited to long to make a move, they would think I'm not really interested in them and just wanted to be friends or have a fling with them. So after a while, I just sped up the whole dating process.

I don't chase boys... I just set the playing field.. Seriously I don't know how and probably give up way too quickly. But boys have been known to chase me for a hear or so.

You're months behind schedule. Relationships are characterized by emotional investment. You've been investing on a completely one sided basis. This is really unhealthy. Get to the point and see if she's interested. If she is, great. If not, quit wasting time and energy hoping she'll read your mind.

More than a month is too long. If nothing I do can get her to be interested in me after a month, it's not worth my time.
