If a girl gets mad at something her crush did, would that motivate her to pursue another guy out of anger or jealousy?

There is this girl at the gym that gives me obvious choosing signals, so I can tell she finds me attractive and even has a crush on me.

I smiled at another girl a few times within her eyesight, and I think it angered her. After I did that, she went and placed a note on the windshield of different guy's car, as if she wrote her number on it (I happened to see her place the note on his car).

Her and this other guy never interact, and never talk AT ALL, so I'm left scratching my head.

I thought this was a bizarre situation.
