Girls, Glances, double takes and locking eyes... what do these mean to you?

I have seen a girl at work give me a double take on a number of occasions, and I don't like being over confident (I'm shy really), but could this mean she likes the look of me?

Also another girl likes to turn around and smile and watch me go by. She is a foreign worker and I think maybe it's more natural in her culture to make herself more visible to a man she likes. But that's just my thought.

So my main question, what does it mean to you if you receive double takes or a long lock of eyes? Or even if you find yourself doing it to someone else?

Depending on how long there is eye contact and how many times a day you have eye contact. Most girls won't give a guy they're not interested in more than a seconds thought. So you are obviously catching some attention. And if they are continuing to do so and you find yourself making eye contact several times a day then their is obviously an attraction. So just continue about your day unless your interested in one of them and them and then slowly step it up a little by engaging in small talk etc. If you like the girl then make sure you show interest in her before she thinks you dont like her and she gives up

Locking eyes with someone does not have to mean anything. A lot of people lock eyes with someone because of a detail in their face, body or looks. That is not uncommon.

You can also lock eyes because you may recognize that person from previously seeing that person or because he/she has special features that attract attention.

So, it does not automatically mean that the girl is interested in you but it can also mean that you may have some features that may have caused this person to have a double take or locking eyes for a short period of time.

It often doesn't mean anything. Guys see a woman looking and just assume they are onto something.

I get what you mean, but this is a workplace where I'm not in view of them all day. I see them maybe once or twice a day for a duration of around 20 seconds. I haven't really experienced it so often in a short period of time. But like you say, it could mean nothing.
