Why the change in the way she text?

Okay so she was married but we became friends and when I stopped messaging her agter I told her how I felt and that I liked her more then a friend she begun messaging me everyday, but one day I told her what I think about her shitty husband and she stopped messaging me so I just figured she may have gotten a little mad but then come to find out she had left him and doesn't appear to be mad but the way she messages me is totally different, she would use little emoji things before always especially the one that's like licking it's lips and the one with a smile and blushing and I felt she would flirt a little and I told her that I wanted to be more then friends when I became single and she told me to get my own place and work on myself and there is a first time for everything... well I did those things and she is now getting a divorce but her texting had completely changes and she only gives short answers like "yes lol" and "no" and no more emojis why or what does this mean?
I was thinking she just liked the attention I gave her because it made her feel good and now that she is about to be single she isn't really into me and keeps it short and non flirtatious because she doesn't want me ask her out on a date or anything but then again I tell her I want to hang out and do things and ask her if she likes doing that type of stuff and she says yeah so I just don't know what to think about it all and yes I think way to much about everything but maybe some of y'all females can help me understand?
