I didn't do anything with mine other than see the doctor exam it. We didn't have many options at that time for the placenta. Though banking umbilical blood was reasonably new but expensive.
Anyhow now you can bank the umbilical blood and the placenta. The placenta is a nutrient-dense tissue and can help with reconstructive procedures, the healing of wounds and burns, ocular procedures, spinal surgeries, and other medical needs. It can be a life saver as it is rich with stem cells. If you can't afford to bank it or the blood you can donate them.
There are other people who actually consume it by actually making it into smoothies or they have a medical team turn them into pills.
Of course there are some people who take an art form to it and do something unique with it such as jewelry or framing it.
Here's an article that talks more about placenta options.
If I was to have another child I would love to bank it along with the umbilical core blood however if I couldn't afford it I would probably donate it.

People eat it, but it is not recommended.
I assume it went in the trash, not sure what you can use it for? Not really something you pull out on your child's 18th birthday with bunch of people attending.
If you do/did, best to keep some eyes in the back of your head afterwards as you likely just tossed any street cred they had with friends.👀
Back home we tossed them all into a wash tub, and the cats ate them.

Just like Marked Man said: Eww lol
I thought it was healthy for the babies I believe but maybe that's cord blood. I'm not really sure. Anyway, I don't really know what they do with that stuff since I am not an ob-gyn and not familiar with that stuff. What a weird question lol.
Throw it away. That’s not meant for us to eat. It actually increases the odds of getting post partum. It can also make your baby fussier because it passes through the breast milk which aLao causes over production of milk. It’s really bad for people and they shouldn’t eat it. All the toxins that were kept from the baby are in that and too many hormones the body got rid of for a reason. Contrary to popular belief, not all mammals eat there placenta.
On both occasions we asked to have it disposed of.
I've heard of people burying it but I just looked at it and thought it was cool and the Dr's took it away. Who knows what they did with it. It was super cool though.
My sisters in law all had pics of theirs taken or had them dried and framed.
I didn't do anything with it. The medical staff at each of my children's births removed it and disposed of it as a bio hazard.
I heard that you can put it in a smoothie and the mom eat it
Usually disposed of. No real need for it afterwards but I’ll take a pic cause I’m curious.
My wife had the placenta from her 1st child of a previous marriage, dried in the shape of an egg. It is red as blood. Don't know how it was done.
freeze it then eat it on toast
or use it as hair shampoo
If You ain’t gonna eat it, give it away or give it to Your carnivorous pets, if You have any. 🐶 🐕 🐱 🐈 🐈⬛
We always sell it to PF Changs. They say it adds flavor to the Wonton soup so they give us a good price.
You discarded of course. After it serves. It's useful purpose in having a child. It has no further purpose whatsoever.
Does that also have the stem cells in it?
Cows will eat it if you don’t remove it from the pen. Have heard some cultures will also eat it.Make placenta art from it
Trashed like everything else. Don’t need it after it’s done it’s job.
I probably leave up to the girl but maybe just throw it away or find a use for it.
They do some health checks on it and then it goes into the furnace.
I’ll answer when I have kids.
