There was research saying 2 women can make babies without sperm but I don't remember where I saw it. Do you know anything about it?
Other than parthenogenesis answered by @Agape93. From that process of a self-activated egg being combined with the other woman's egg, it is possible. Also, Holy Fuck, they've created synthetic embryos, they just need to test whether they're viable in further development. It raises up ethical issues and I'm fairly certain some government special laboratories somewhere have developed artificial wombs but probably haven't disclosed it because there are laws on human cloning. Oh shizz, everyone. https://www.theguardian.com/science/2023/jun/14/synthetic-human-embryos-created-in-groundbreaking-advance

I guess when in 2 or 3 hundred years human genomes are completely decoded and recombination of 2 billion genes is possible, then two women can become a child that contains DNA of them both, but now it's just science fiction.

+1 yNo. You have to have male sperm for that to work. If 2 women want to parent a baby, they can either adopt OR they can use something like artificial insemination to impregnate one of them. 2 women can't just make a baby. Women do not produce sperm which is necessary for the process of life creation.

there was an atrempt at making same sex babies by turning a sperm into an egg and an egg into sperm. it failed due to severe defects in the test embryoes and was very much overly expensive, so was abandoned about a decade ago. only knew of it from the prelimanry mention of it on a science show on cable back around 2010, hosted by morgan freeman. the show was about new breaktroughs and research. seen very light mentions of it a year ago and that it failed maybe a year or 2 after that show aired, on tiktok when a lot of feminists started going after men's rights activists only quoting the preliminary research (that show) as an argument about not needing men for anything including making new people.
10 ReplyI think so I used to watch my sister and one of my stepsisters do it all the time they sit in front of each other and then they slap their hands together in front of each other and they say patty cake patty cake baker's man put him in the pan just as fast as you can roll them toss it in the air but I forget the rest of it

+1 yNo, it's not possible without male sperm. What you've red was garbage. You anyway need to somehow transfer male genetic material into a female egg. You could probably synthesize artificial DNA and transfer it into woman's egg.. Well, in theory everything is possible but in practice - no. Not today.

+1 yI've seen a program on this once it's theoretical possible basically it's technique's that can be used for cloning.
Genetic material from one egg has to be injected into another egg to mimic fertilization from a sperm.
I think we are a number of years from doing this. It will probably be a expensive and quite involving process if allowed to be explored further as it is basically cloning.01 Reply- +1 y
but the genome were egg type if they only needed total they could do it in 1981.
+1 yno, there has been studies where you can take a real sperm from a male and then create a fake one thruogh a womans DNA but you still need a man's sperm. Both men and women will always be needed that will never change

I don't remember all the details, but I've definitely heard about successful fertilization using two sources of the same gender both for males and females. Nothing approved for use for humans of course, but the concept has been proven.
I don't think that two women can have a son however without help from a man...
You can even have 3 different sources of DNA, if you include the mitochondria that can have a third source. - +1 y

@Spongebobssocks
No, you really don't.
It makes the process a lot easier.
But you just need a data file with the ones and zeros required to make a stem cell turn into a sperm cell or a egg cell.
Our DNA is like computer code and explains how the body needs to do things.
And our own body has the machinery to interpret it.
As long as humans don't go extinct we can create a child from two parents of the same gender.
But if you don't want any donor cells from the other sex you do have to turn to gene editing that has its own legal challenges... - +1 y

@Spongebobssocks
No.
You don't need a single atom from the opposite sex.
Just information that has already been stored electronically and can be sent by email, just like how the RNA in the covid vaccine can be.
So yes, technically some of the DNA from the other sex *is* needed, but the other sex is no longer needed in either case.
Be that male + male or female + female fertilization. - +1 y
Because we essentially have a electronic backup of the relevant DNA and can create it without the original sex being involved.
Provided that the required genetical modification is legal in a given country.
We've done it with animals.
It's mostly laws holding us back from doing it with people.
+1 yThere was something years ago where they could take genetic material from one woman and combined it with an egg, but it would only result in a female but I’m not sure if it was actually done or was simply theoretical. There are definitely ethics concerns.

+1 y Two women? I don't know but eventually it will be possible for a woman to birth a clone of her self. So I guess if you take the stem cells or whatever tf it’s called from one girl and put it into a second girls egg. It would be possible. They’ve done it with so many animals it’s bound to happen for humans.
01 Reply- +1 y
if clone, don't need second eoman either

If you google stem cells sperm you should get some hits.
I think it is somewhat Frankenstein.

+1 yOnly way that can happen is if one of the women is trans, meaning they still have male sperm. Immaculate conception is also possible, but extremely rare.
10 Reply 364 opinions shared on Girl's Behavior topic. As far as I know you need an egg and 1 strong swimmer.
Doesn't matter where the swimmer came to meet the egg, but since biological women can not produce them a guy has to be a part of it somehow.
I will have to look this up.00 Reply343 opinions shared on Girl's Behavior topic. Yes, by changing the meaning of words in the dictionary.

+1 yWhy can't you just slap two eggs together? How's it any different to sperm plus egg? It's still 50:50 gene mixing either way.

because the egg is a egg type genome same as the egg.
turkey baster and some sperm
10 Reply2.3K opinions shared on Girl's Behavior topic. To the present day this is still a feat of total impossibility, as you need a males sperm to fertilise the females egg.
00 Reply585 opinions shared on Girl's Behavior topic. men will likely end up making a baby first before two women would given the current trend of science

like if 2 eggs total 46 chromosomes, why not two sperm x+y=male child, j. k.
+1 yNope actualy ita the opposite. 2 males can make a baby as long as they have a surrogate womb. By placing a supermarket cell into a liver cell with a half DNA strand in it. It turns out it's sperm thar sparks cell division for making new life.

This is an answer. Very rare but yes, a self-fertilizing egg. More common in types of lizards, of which there's no common answer to mammals. Just a freak "life finds a way" method of reproduction that the programming of DNA can invoke. We know of it from cases they've recorded where an individual born from this had no paternal DNA.
