Why do women bait guys when they have boyfriends? And do they bait specific guys?

I’m only asking this cause at this point it’s so obvious. I’ve always had this issue where girls with boyfriends would hit on me, flirt, stare, etc. I never felt for it. I don’t understand why this keeps happening to me.

Recently, for the past 6 months, a girl at my gym has been consistent with the bating. This girl literally stares at me everyday when I’m not looking (a lot of my friends have caught her). She would go and purposely walk across the gym just to stand next to me and pretend to be lost and then walk away. This happens often. If I stare at her, she keeps eye contact. She’ll purposely bend in front of me or stretch in front of me. I’ve seen her friend and her look at me and talk about me. My friends say she’e targeting me. The very first time I’ve seen her, she went and took the chair next to me and we sat there close to each other for 20 min without saying a word to each other. She stares when she knows I’m not looking. She stares when she knows I’m looking. The issue is… she has boyfriend. I’ve seen at least 10 guys ask her for her number in the past 6 months and all got rejected.

The boyfriend is seeing with her at the gym once every 6 months, she’s usually alone. I’ve seen him leave the gym as she comes in. I saw her with her boyfriend once in school and she made a reaction as she was thrown off seeing me and stared at me as they walked together. She looked a bit shocked.

Em I being baited to get rejected? Or what the hell? Do women seek validation from just any guy or just guys they find attractive?

Some do , because they are attention seekers , that like receiving attention and validation from others , making them feel like they are still wanted and desired by others , the fact that you aren’t giving into her , is probably making her want you even more , especially if she has been locking eyes with you , because in her mind , you are playing hard to get , which most girls’ tend to go for in a guy , Most girls ‘ are drawn to a guy that she finds attractive that plays hard to get , even though you probably aren’t playing hard to get , she is thinking you are. So she would probably cheat on her boyfriend for you , if you started talking to her and hitting on her , Most girls’ love that game of chase , so I am pretty sure she already pictured herself in your arms. You are best to stay clear of her , unless you just want a piece of ass , but do not get into a relationship with her , because what she is doing to her boyfriend , she will eventually do to you once she wants attention again. Don't look at it that way. In my 20's and 30's I just took advantage to of those opportunities, when girls did that, who were attached to someone else. Take it as it comes and enjoy the attention. I did, and never had a regret, I had a couple of sessions with a girl at work who had a policeman boyfriend, and she was just curios, girl, and had no reservations about exploring other men.

Just go with it, and don't take it too seriously. As long as you know it will probably not go any further. I did, and had a good time with them.

Sounds like someone who needs constant attention, and who wants to evaluate her sexual attraction. She's likely young and insecure.

I don't think it's "baiting." She gets a kick out of this. It's perverse and not nice. Ignore her; don't look at her. Her looks mean nothing. They're done for a power trip.

Teach her a lesson. If she bends over near you, say something like, "Hey, would you get out of my way?" or "Could you not crowd me?" if she sits next to you. Or, "I'm uncomfortable with someone staring at me. I come here to exercise, not get stared at." or "Why are you staring at me. Would you please stop?"

More than likely she'll deny she's staring at you, or blurt out she has a boyfriend... but I BET you get her to stop this childish game!!! Good luck.

This will be a problem for you since you are - I am guessing - a good looking guy.

Women will always pay attentions to the good looking dude. This does not necessarily mean she is going to cheat with you but it means she is attracted to you and wants attention from you. It may be that she is looking to do some branch swinging or that she just wants an ego boost from some of your attention. I am 47 so I have learned that 99 % of the time when a spoken for women flirts with other men it is not to be taken seriously - they are usually bored. I am used to hard ignoring women and their childish bullshit.

I recall some years ago we had a new collogue join our team. She was young ( 23) and hot and had a nice ass. Every man there was trying to get into her pants. Even our section super visor - who is married to some women that works in the same building - was hitting on her ( It was one of those " You Cannot Unsee This" type of scenarios that I will post about here on G@G in the next day or so). During her time there I spoke to her a few times but I quickly realized she was not a nice person so I began limiting my contact with her. Anyhow, this girl spent almost her two years there making eyes with me on many an occasion. At first it was flattering but after a few months I tired of that shit and it was just annoying even creepy. The girl would just stare at me. I hard ignored for two reasons: 1 . Don't shit where you eat ( never mess around at work) . 2. She was just weird. There was something about her personality that was off putting to me.

Anyhow , some years later I fund out she was married for much of the time she worked there but she would go around saying that she was not married.

This is just one reason why I am so cautious around women. They are all a bit off in some way or another.

Women are always looking to upgrade, and similarly they always keep alternates on the back burner. It's ironic that men have maintained the stigma as the sex that continues playing the field after attached when in modern society it is clearly women. I'm not saying there is not an exception, however, in 42 years I haven't met one, and I've been keeping my eyes open as I would love to settle down.

Have definitely experienced exactly what you described - and more than once, so I think it's safe to say it's not just your imagination. I have often questioned that too, as to why so many girls and women of today will have a man, yet are still trying to play games with you like that. Not gonna lie, I have flirted with some females who have boyfriends, and some married women, but the vast majority of that has been done in fun and games that those women understood and it never developed into more than that.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say a lot are doing it for attention, yes. But also because an enormous amount of women today really do have a 'backup' mindset and try to see if it's possible to pull in guys they don't need... for the moment. Or ones who will fulfill specific wants that her man isn't fulfilling.

I have had women match my flirtatious energy, only once l approached, they would flinch and back down. It is fun to know they don’t think you have the balls to approach.
But not all have flinched. They continue to engage with me. Even married ones.
The point is to have fun. The point is to have as many future opportunities available to you. There boyfriends or husbands may not “date” them anymore. The courtship should never end. Once a relationship gets mundane, her interest drops.

It's all about ego satisfaction and getting attention. My guess is that girls do it for the same reasons guys do it with a slight difference. Girls because they enjoy teasing and knowing they have the power to attract, regardless of their relationship status. They are not likely to follow through on it, but enjoy the sense of power they derive from it.

A guy with a girlfriend will bait another girl for the same reasons, but if she responds with strong sexual innuendo and he believes there's a chance for sex, 30-50% of guys will go for it. They younger the guy, the more likely he'll do it.

In BOTH cases, the majority of women, indeed, the supermajority of women, on those sites are *bot* serious, are *already* attached, and they are not looking for a relationship at all. They just crave the validation they receive. It's like a drug to them.
