@antelope51 No I agree it is not gender-locked but it is more pronounced. There are good evolutionary reasons why that should be and we are what evolution made us.

That includes the pyschological as well as the physical. Hence the entire field of evolutionary pyschology.

As someone else said, and what was going to be my answer, is that they want people to ask them what happened. Or they are hoping that a guy who 'hurt' them will see the post and be moved by it. I have a female friend who was doing that a few months ago, sharing goofy, corny TikTok reposts about "if he doesn't call you, text you, then move on blah blah blah." They're hoping that friends will wipe their tears and that the posts will make the guys reach out.

I dont use social media much since I don't have the time or energy to do so, but I assume they do so because they feel the need to communicate something or get something out of their chest in a cryptic way. I honestly don't know I can only guess.
