Do girls follow sports to satisfy their boyfriends, generally speaking?

I am NOT asking just about YOU in particular, i am asking in-general. Do most of them actually like to follow football, baseball, boxing, etc... or they just do it to make their boyfriends happy?

I follow volleyball games :D Especially the Polish Female National Team.

But I'm pretty open to watching other sports. With my friends, we watch the FIFA World Cup (fortunately for the Polish team, only every 4 years :D ). We sometimes watch hockey, basketball...

@islathewitch Hate it? I love it. in my opinion it's another organic example that shows how selfish most women are. If you notice almost every woman that responded ignored the question and gave a personal opinion. This is something excellent for young men to learn from.

It depends. Did she have prior interest and experience in that particular sport? If not, she's probably doing it for him. LoL.

Some might, yes.
Sometimes a woman might feel the desire to show interest in her partner's interests, to connect on a different level.
That's not too weird, some men would do the same. People who like each other generally wouldn't really mind to pay an interest in something they aren't necessarily interested in, for the sake of their partner.
Sometimes a woman enjoys watching a competition of any kind of sports for her own liking. Like a man can too.
There is no one size fits all.
She might like watching soccer, he might like watching billiards. They might both like to follow these sports for the sake of connecting to their partner in a different manner than any other manner they connect in.

Yes a lot of them do. It’s not just sports, it’s a lot of things that men are interested in. They don’t like it for a number of reasons, especially cause the attention isn’t focused on them for 3-4 hours. But at the same time a lot of me. Try to pretend like they care about things women like. A lot of men pretend to care about a girl’s job, her education, etc, just to build themselves up to look better. So it works both ways. Fortunately for me my girl loves sports, especially basketball. I think she watches it more than me even though I’m the one who got her into it. She watches that as well as football.

I've never followed the sports of my past boyfriends. They've watched baseball/football which I generally find boring and I've never pretended like I like them. It's more like, if he was watching and I was bored enough, I'd watch along with him. I am however a die hard F1 fan. I watch every single race, practice, am subscribed to several content creators who discuss various F1 topics, bought my own merch, the works...no boyfriend has ever loved or cared about the sport, but I don't need them to love it, the important bit is I watch it because I love it and enjoy it. If someone else wants to watch too, sure, couch is available to them.

I used to follow it a lot. But after kids, I lost the passion. I don't think I would be able to follow it just to satisfy my husband. Thats a lot of commitment for a hobby you aren't interested in. Yet I still root for Man. U to get under my husband's skin since he likes Liverpool.

I know some girls that were serious about playing sports in high school and they were sports fans already. Girls that weren't athletes that are sports fans are suspicious. Personally I don't give a chicken fried fuck about sports.
