Ladies, if women find 80% of men "unattractive", how can most of you ever expect to find a "good man"?

First, we are expected to accept the premise in the question as factual. But there is nothing to back up the claim that women in general find 80% of men unattractive. (I'm assuming that it is referring to "physically" attractive.)

Is this claim based on the 6' tall, six pack, big dick thing that some men are hung up on?

Most individual women obviously have preferences, just as guys have preferences. That being the case, an average women would probably be attracted to even fewer than one out of five men. And why? Race, ethnicity, culture, social style/presentation (buttoned down, GQ, hipster, country, numerous cubcultures), age, mannerisms, values, personality, ?

Maybe women don't select men for their bodies as much as men are more apt judge and select women merely for their faces, hair, boobs and butts. Maybe women tend to consider many things when seeking a mate. And maybe guys who claim that women don't select "good" men have a peculiar, individual notion of what constitutes "good".

Do men find 80% or more women unattractive? From what I've seen on GAG, some men are pretty harsh in judging women's appearance. And again, every man has personal preferences.

It seems ironic to me that extremely selective men who have personal notions of what constitutes a "good" woman complain about women being selective.

80%. That seems a bit high. Not debating that many women have absurd standards these days though. That’s what happens when we have policies that “empower women.” It inflates their already over the top sense of entitlement.

Most women don't understand math, statistics, or reality. The majority think they can all have a top 10% man. Even when going by the US census data that shows what actually EXISTS, that doesn't even consider the men already in a relationship, or that don't want her based on her traits, most of them STILL think that if it shows less than 2% of men even match what they want, the majority of women still think they can get him. That is why it is obvious that they don't even understand elementary level math.

that stat is from a dating site. it was 80% of the guys on there specifically not 80% of guys irl. the whole thing was explained by the fact that most women on that thing were more likely to be pretty and were younger in general (also some people in manosphere like to put a perfect bell curve of ratings by guys for that but that's the real ratings) than the guys. the men on that specific site (and a bit in general on dating stuff) tended to be a lot more often objectively unattractive and a lot older than the girls. like it just seems unattractive guys are the ones mainly using the sites except for some hot fboys, while its not like that for girls

@4ngelic. The sample was taken with several hundred thousand men and women, so the data is pretty solid. Most men IRL are not just unattractive to women, they are completely invisible.

Sooner or later they will have to settle, an average-looking woman will not be able to demand the beautiful model, so at a certain age she will have to scale back her demands and expectations.

Unfortunately, the hypergamous instinct is inherent in women.

I have never thought 80 percent of men were unattractive in the general sense. There are plenty of nice looking and well mannered men out there. Though until I actually start dating a guy and getting to know him I am not just attracted based on looks. I have to be attracted to someone emotionally and physically to be in a relationship.

Also, dating sites surveys isn't a reflection of the whole reality of the world and dating relationships and marriages, otherwise like a said men in China wouldn't have wives and girlfriends, same goes for India and rest of Asian countries and Africa and the whole world.

So by logic since about maybe 3 billion men on earth have wives and girlfriends then that means their lady at least found him attractive to be with.

I have traveled all over the world and have been in cultures all over and if we compare the US population with the world population. Thing is that women find 80% of men unattractive by median average.

However women have more variation in their taste than men. Like there is subset of women who are willing to mate with a ugly guy if he is tall, athletic and strong.
