Truthfully there's several reasons behind wearing makeup. I believe it's to look MORE attractive.

I wear lipstick every day because my mother said it "dresses up your face," it takes no time at all and moisturizes your lips -- so it feels good; and I work in shorts, T-shirts at a furniture warehouse where I'm dusting, cleaning and straightening.

But the fact that I've TAKEN THE TIME to dress myself up a bit shows what kind of person I am. I care about how I present myself. This is just as important as the sexual aspect.

BUTTTT, the actual truth behind lipstick is the reddened lips mimic the red, engorged lips of an aroused vagina! WOW!!! And eyeliner makes the eyes appear wider and therefore look like the person wearing the eyeliner is AROUSED as it mimics a wide-open pupil, which shows arousal or excitement.

Colorful eye makeup is human plumage used to attract mates, and those who find such plumage interesting and attractive. It's all about making positive connections: friends, partners and more.

there's a variety of reasons girls can want to wear makeup:

- to look more put together

- to make a fashion statement

- to correct minor skin imperfections

- to be prettier in general (like for everyone, not specifically men)

- to get more attention from guys

- because it's fun

- to be prettier for your boyfriend

- to look dressed up

- because everyone does it, so you just happen to do it cos

- because most girls do it and and if you dont you stand out

- to hide their face behind it because they're insecure

- correct a bit a complex (like make small lips bigger)

- some people think that girls who dont wear makeup are less attractive because they're less feminine and put together

- to look older or younger

- to look tanner or paler

According to research done in the US by the National Institutes for Health (NIH), women who wear makeup do it for psychological reasons, and fall into two groups: shy/introverted, who try to cover up physical and psychological faults; and outgoing/extroverted, who wear makeup to impress and seduce others.

for me it's bc it's fun , i don't put foundation or concealers but i like to play with colors of lipsticks , blushes , and eye shadow , and I notice when I feel depressed or sad I usually just wear makeup alone in my bathroom to just FEEL better bc it does , just like art relieves stress , it doesn't mean it's bc i want to attract men

To look like someone they are not. But it’s deceptive. I get people using concealer if you have rosacea or minor acne or whatever, but if you are using makeup to make yourself look like you have a different facial structure…then that’s lying to men…
