Things doesn't work like this but it makes us feel bad and desperate sometimes. If you want to have good conversation with a girl to keep her intrested (, if there is any possibility) then let her lead the conversation or you lead the conversation as per her interest.

For example you can start first by getting some basic knowledge about her. You can ask about her hobbies, her goals, her day to day life that how was her day, how is her mood what's reason, her liking disliking etc. Follow a gradual systematic way not like jumping and keep guessing.

After that you can go beyond and can ask questions what make her to answer in somewhat details not just one one answer type. And see what kind of questions she is taking interest to answer and what not. And try to have conversations on those areas she is taking interest.

Like this you can make connections with eachother.

I think you should speak with someone who appears to be actually interested in you. She doesn’t seem like she really cares and you’re the only one carrying the conversation.
