Yeah, it's odd. My flatmate and I did it all the time back in uni - he was a stereotypical geek with below average social skills, who'd always complain about being invisible. It worked for him and it worked for me - uni girls just want to hook up with men that are taken 🤷‍♂️

I really wouldn't be surprised if that works tbh. Many girls will not give a guy the time of day, but the minute you date them then they suddenly realize he exists. That's just the bitter truth.
