My friend ghosted me after I confessed my feelings?

I was really close to this girl and
I liked her but I kept to myself for months , we were talking and going out normally just the two of us

After I told her I like her she was very straight forward , she said she noticed I liked her months ago but she said she doesn’t think of me romantically
After that day I never heard from her again
I saw her 2 times and she was very cold both times
We had a mutual friend that was always flirting with me , and she ghosted me too

I miss them but I got the feeling they don’t want to be my friends anymore

Is she being nice by giving me space to move on? Or is she angry I ruined the friendship?
Or something else?

But I decided against her. she gets triggered easily and throws insults and then refuse to apologise for these insults

The other girl said once that the in the Middle Ages people were more open minded about cheating
To which I responded “this is not open minded this dark ages
I think cheaters deserve to be spit on and I would feel disgusted if I shook a cheater’s hand and If any of my friends cheated I will immediately end the friendship “

I did this in 1995. The feelings didn’t last long at all. Nevertheless, I never got the friendship back. She’s still living as far as I know but it seems she just wasted her life. I’m pretty sure where she’ll end up but I don’t care nearly enough to try to prevent it.

Sorry that happened to you. She probably thinks it would be too awkward to be friends now. I also think she is giving you space so you can find what you are looking for. She definitely is not angry because she said she noticed that you liked her. If that angered her, she would have ghosted you sooner.

Why does it matter what motivates her behavior. Nothing is ever going to happen with her and your choices are to either continue wasting your time, or move forward.
