Why do women stay with men who have side women and cry about it?

Friend was crying this last month about how her men got side women dumped him got mad ans expecting him to change. Was crying this morning since he's acting funny and still likely got side women. Why not just accept he got side women and stop crying about it?

One of my high school friends dated an older man with a girlfriend (red flag already), and when she finally broke up with him, we thought lesson learned, but when we went to college, she started up another relationship, this time with a married man. She would whine about him all the time. "He goes to his other family and doesn't spend time with me." It was literally INSANE listening to her. He promised her so many times, this was it, he was going to leave them. Even when we told her how f'd up that is, that this guy is even saying he's going to leave his entire family including kids, for you, and you know you'd be half the reason of ruining a marriage/and maybe his relationship with his kids. She did not care. I just couldn't see being friends with a person like that much longer, and I soon severed ties with her. From the last I heard of her, they'd broken up, and she had a baby 'with some guy' she's also no longer with. To me, this is just poor morals because they know good and well, if they were on the flip side, how pissed they'd be and betrayed, but okay, live your truth, ruin lives, ruin your own, and for what?

Sometimes you love someone who hurts you and can't stop. Losing them is worse than being hurt by them... it's pretty sad, I wish you had more compassion for your friend.

She will most likely eventually break up with him, but in toxic relationships often one side puts the other down, make them feel like less than, tell them that they would never be loved again if they left etc. I know it seems silly that someone could believe that... but if your self-esteem has been brought so low by someone you love and trust then many people would get affected by it and be afraid to end the relationship.

If you want to help your friend, you can tell her that she's degrading herself by allowing him to treat her this way and that she deserves better and CAN do better. Point out to her that this guys clearly doesn't feel the same way she does and doesn't respect her... but don't be too pushy about it, because it's not something she wants to hear and will likely get defensive about it. You can also remind her that a woman cannot change a man, it's a common misconception that many young women have.

Dude, don't be so harsh on your friend. Breaking up is never easy, even when you know it's for the best.

When you care about someone, it's normal to feel hurt and sad seeing them disrespect you like that. And no matter what he did, she probably still has some feelings left for the guy too, you know? That stuff doesn't just turn off overnight.

Cut her some slack man. She's going through it right now and needs your support, not criticism. Maybe he did give her mixed signals before that made leaving more complicated than it shoulda been. Breaking the cycle of staying vs going is tough.

Best thing you can do is just be there to listen when she needs to vent, distract her with other stuff too so she's not always dwelling on him. In time she'll see she deserves way better than being disrespected like that. For now don't judge - be a real one and hold her down through the emotional part. She'll get through it stronger in the end.

Yeah man, for sure. Breakups are the worst, especially when you've been together a long time. Just tell your friend she's got this - it'll take time but she'll get over that dude eventually.

In the meantime, keep busy hanging with the crew. Maybe hit up the skate park or play some ball, that always takes my mind off stuff. Music festivals are coming up too, perfect chance for a fresh start.

She just needs a distraction till the feelings fade. Once that happens, she'll see she's better without all that drama. Dude wasn't treating her right anyway.

We'll have to do a bonfire or something soon too, sit around roasting marshmallows and shooting the sh! t. Good way for her to vent and laugh again. Tell her if she needs a shoulder, I got her. Bros before lame dudes, ya feel me? She'll pull through, just gotta keep her head up!

Your friend should divorce him. I am sorry but it's the guys fault NOT YOUR FRIEND! He never mentioned to your friend that he was interested in practicing polygamist or open relationships. The guy once he is divorced he should just convert to Mormonism go live in the state of Utah become a polygamist.
