Definitely stand up for yourself. Definitely have boundaries. Don't be afraid to communicate your needs and expectations. Submissive is not the same as being a doormat.

One of the really big things that I didn't understand about the lady I'm talking with now is that her cultural background makes it really uncomfortable for her to interact with the world outside the context of a man. So it's not so much that she doesn't have boundaries, or that she can't do it herself, or even that she's a pushover; it's just the way her brain works that she communicates with him and then trusts him to handle the outside world.

My dad has zero romance and he treat my mom as a servant. She deserve some feminine treatment but my dad provide zero. She needs a feminine treatment otherwise she is very unhappy

Some prefer to be submissive, and some don't. That's their individual choice, and there's nothing wrong with either.

Not everyone will agree with their choice, nor can they be expected to, but that's up to them to decide.
