No! That’s horrible and very insensitive. Sounds like you are better off without a woman that is judging you by appearance! Sounds like she’s dating for looks and not personality’s. I find that personality is everything! Looks don’t last forever… From experience of my younger years dating for looks gets you now where and you end up being with someone that you don’t belong with. Beauty/handsomeness comes from within. If you love someone for who they are and not what they look like there is a deeper meaning there. Being a great person with good values and great personality is everything!

Yeah she said she came from childhood trauma and said the guy she dated before me was abusive I had never been in a relationship but I was determined to show not only her but her mother that I would be a loving caring gentleman for her daughter. Weeks into the relationship this was on my mind because I strongly value how I’m perceived by the parents

That would honestly explain her behavior. That all sounds like her problems not your problems! You sound like a good guy! Don’t give up on love it’s out there and not toxic. You can’t fix others they have to fix themselves. It’s hard to deal with when you care but you have to make sure you aren’t sacrificing your morals, values and happiness in life. Technically once in my early 20s. We started off fine then about a year in he started hanging out with some old friends who were bad influences and he went down hill. Always drinking, stopped trying at his job therefore he lost it, moved back in to moms, games all day and no new job in sight. Under those circumstances I did eventually feel too good for him and ended it.
