Why do women put the blame on men for treating them like objects when they themselves are dressed inappropriately?

Not all women act like this number one I think the women who like being treated like that aren’t only hurting themselves but other women who do not.

But the women who are like that many times have cognitive dissidence holding two contradictory thoughts at the same time also referred to as double think. Where they are a proud hoe but also you shouldn’t objectify women.

I also think it comes down to getting attention from the wrong men. When the men they want are paying them no attention but the creeps and losers are the ones pestering them. It would be like if a man was wanting pretty women but got grotesque ugly women who look like they never shower…. It’s pretty much that as well.

But not all women want to be treated like that or act like that. Just women who are hypocrites as well as double minded.

Dressed inappropriately? As if we need male approval on how we dress. We are still deserving of respect. It is a man's fault if he refuses to treat a woman with respect over how she is dressed. Should we not respect men if they aren't in suits and ties all the time?

@Ez-Bri-Z_v2 I agree with this mostly but there are limits. A short cute flirty dress is one thing but if you're dressed like the girls on the corner in movies people are going to give them looks and they shouldn't expect otherwise. That said how does how you dress have anything to do with being treated as an object? Am I reduced to an object when I take my shirt off at the pool as a dude?

And even if you're talking about "Objectifying" There's a difference between that and objectifying and treating someone like an object. Objectifying is normal for men and for woman. Bualders Gate 3 made that very clear. It's one thing to make naughty comments about someone's looks. It's another thing entirely to reduce someone to something beneath you to own and control. This is a really loaded question by this guy.

Also, I really should try and go back to play Baldurs Gate 3. I tried playing it co-op with a friend, but I got lost trying to keep up with him. Maybe I should play solo.

It's really good. Be very thorough, explore every nook and cranny loot every chest etc. The game gets better the deeper you dive. And yea there are ways to look at people without being disrespectful but to a certain extent woman and men are going to make dirty comments regardless. People are going to make objectifying comments regardless of sex or gender that are rude for the same reason people laugh at racist jokes even though they're not racist. Sometimes it's just fun to be a little bad and as long as nobody gets hurt then it's fine. It's different though if you start being really overt and pushy because then it goes from a quiet comment to a friend to make him laugh to sexual harassment. I don't understand why finding these lines is so hard for people? They seem like common sense to me?

This is just hypocrisy. A woman who does not want to be an object already pays attention to how she dresses. Otherwise, the woman clearly wants to be an object for men. But honestly, we women really enjoy being objects for men.

Appropriate or inappropriate is subjective. But just because a lady dresses a certain way doesn't mean that she should be treated as a mere object.

We all objectify by sizing people up based on looks. But treating someone like an object is different. That is dehumanizing and leads to bad treatment. But everybody is human and should be treated with respect.

inappropriately is a big words... Didn't you know in Saudi Arabia women wearing the Niqab get raped? In Afghanistan women wearing a Burqha get raped too, it have nothing to do with how the woman is dressed. If the man is bad he's bad.
