Strict upbringing?

We hear stories about minister, preachers, or very religiously conservative daughters doing a complete 180 and going slightly crazy after being away from their families and on their own. However, there are those that don't stray far from that and stay mostly the same in terms of religion and social conservativism. Do you think it's more likely for a girl to do a 180 or stay the way their parents raised them?

Absolutely no idea how common rebellion vs compliance is with these religiots but I'd assume the peer / group pressures must be immense in most cases.

We were raised in the Baptist church. Our father was a preacher. My sister is very liberal and did a 180. I’ve stayed conservative but dropped the church
