Depends what you mean by "lie". Are we talking about Bill Clinton "I did not have sexual relations with that woman" or "No honey, that outfit doesn't make you look fat"? Some lies you tell to spare someone's feelings, some you tell to cover your ass. The cover your ass ones generally end up biting you in the ass. I'm not sure how many cover their ass lies women as a whole, tell. "Your's is the biggest I've ever seen" is to spare your feelings. You should do the same thing she should do when you tell her she doesn't look fat in whatever she's wearing, smile, say thank you and don't question further. If a woman tells you "Of course it's your baby" and you've had a vasectomy. That's a different story.
