Girls that intentionally avoid eye contact

So I used to work in nightclubs for basically all my teen years and I've noticed this over and over.

Usually, hot girls will pretend not to see you look at them and they will pretend like they aren't looking at you.

But now, even the not so hot girls do it too.

For example, I was grocery shopping and I saw a 6.5 but she had a cute face so I looked at her and she looked away RIGHT away. Then when I would glance at her she would pretend to not notice me.

I'm a decent looking guy, like 8.5/10, so what's with these chicks that pretend to be to important?

How do they hook up with anyone? Are they just lonely?

No offense but maybe they aren't interested. I don't really hold eye contact with random people unless I want to talk to them or something. other than that I just go on about my day. do you feel that girls that you want to sleep with HAVE to make eye contact with you? the way you worded this question makes you come off cocky lol. maybe they are hooking up, just not trying to do it with you. think about the girls you have hooked up with, obviously they made eye contact with you initially so its obvious that all girls aren't doing it, just the ones that aren't interested for whatever reason. I don't think that is cocky, you don't have to like everyone or make eye contact with every guy who checks you out. I don't see how that's pretending to be important, maybe you just don't care?

It's just the way it looks. Like my buddy and I discussed this. Cus he used to work with me at this nightclub and the girls that know they are hot would like look at us once and then we'd look back and they would act like they don't know we were looking at them.

Also, I know when I don't get eye contact girls flip out saying stuff like "Is he seriously ignoring us?" and "where is he looking?"

So I don't understand why there's this silly double standard, where if guys look its okay for girls

Anyone who gets mad that someone didn't make eye contact with them needs to get over themselves. every single person you see when you're out doesn't have to acknowledge your existence or make eye contact with you. some people just go about their business and don't want to be bothered.

I think its just their character. I tend to do that all the time, but I usually have something else on my mind at the time. If I do it intentionally, it's because I can. If I'm talking to a guy at the time, I just tend to act that way.

Hmm how can I explain, it's just my demeanor. It's the act of showing that I know that you are looking at me, but I know you probably won't come up and talk to me. I may do it, because I'm thinking about something else at the time. Or if I'm currently talking to a guy that I like, I just avoid eye contact intentionally with other guys.

Another reason I may do it is through nerves. If I see a guy that is really attractive looking at me, I avoid eye contact.

I think you might be misreading some of them--a lot of girls are just shy. I know that I don't generally stare guys down in public, even if they are hot.

yeah I do that.. it's because I think the guy is attractive? I'm not just gonna stare them down and have eye sex with them, no. I'm shy. it's not because I "pretend" to be important. don't be so egotistical. not all girls have a flamboyant personality and are miss confident 24/7.
