What is it with the prolonged eye contact?

Prolonged eye contact? What does the prolonged eye contact means? When and why do you guys use it? Sometimes when a gal catches a guy constantly staring at her, she's trying to decode what is he trying to tell. Does he flirt? Does he like her?

its called being attracted to the person your staring at and its natural.. Shy people tend to look away when the other stares back

it doesn't mean he loves you or likes you it just means he's attracted to you or you look weird and is intrested why

Basicly eye contact doesn't mean much but its the first contact people ever make... But one thing is clear: its rude to stare... How else would I start having a relationship if I don't stare :s

It a guy is staring at a girl for too long, it's simply because he's so taken that his eyes are sort of gelled to that spot. He doesn't mean to stare, but can't necessarily help it. A friend of mine does that all the time, oblivious to the universe outside of his girl's eyes; he just can't help it. I blush just watching him in action, lol.

Well yes we do try to decode it as prolonged eye contact does not happen naturally so there is something in it and as Blobb says it's one of the below :)
