Why does he repeat random things I say as I'm talking to him?

When my crush and I talk he tends to repeat some things I say. For example I told him I was doing yoga and then the kept repeating yoga multiple times. Another time I told I had class Wednesday nights and then he kept repeating Thursday. Today I told him I pull all nighters and he kept repeating all-nighters. Its all random things that he is repeating. Why?

Maybe he has a lot on his mind already and is just trying to make an effort to remember what you're saying.
Or he likes you and gets nervous around you, and does/says daggy or embarrassing things, such as repeating you as a result of the nerves.
Or he may have un-diagnosed obsessive compulsive disorder, or terretts disease (maybe check the spelling on that).
The key would be to observe to see if he does this with other people aswell, or just you.

You are describing Echolalia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Echolalia . It's a speech quirk. He doesn't do it on purpose and I don't really think he can help it.

I know I could but I dont want to embarrass him if he is unaware. I could see where that makes sense but I dont know why he would want to remember those random things.

I'll assume he's not. So it sounds like he's very immature and thinks he's funny.

I agree. I talked about it with my friends and they are like he is just trying to remember what you say. That's fine and I'd believe it if he would repeat things of importance, although it would still be odd.
