Why would a female look another female up and down often?

There is this new girl who has recently joined my job and so I am training her on various procedures. I’ve noticed since she started the role whenever we had to interact she’d look me up and down in a judgmental way, in particular focusing on my stomach and hips and this makes me feel quite self conscious, like she’s judging me. This happens in almost every interaction she will give me the once over and eye me up and down. I don’t dress funny I dress normal to work in smart wear or a formal dress.

When I first got asked to train her she was off about it and made out that she knew everything I was training her on. She made a point to correct me and tell me what I was doing wrong in my training.

Why would a female look another female up and down like this?

This is typical catty competitive woman BS. No I won’t make an excuse for it because all women don’t do it, just the male centered ones. I’ve had it happen to me multiple times, and yes, she is being a judgmental shady b*tch.

You want to throw her off, call her out. Be passive aggressive, say “I see you looking me up and down, do you like my outfit?” And I bet you she will stop. Also, her calling you out is a way to try to dominate the situation, of course. Again, passive aggressiveness takes you a long way.

And whatever you do, PLEASE don’t ignore it. If she knows she can continue doing it with no consequences she will do it more and more.

She's trying to make you feel insecure because she's jealous lol. She sounds narcissistic and petty. If she keeps up the bitchy attitude just tell your supervisor.
