A new G@G competition - Legendary People

Hello there! As you can read in the title, I’m about to start a new MyTake competition. This is going to be about writing takes on legendary, great and inspiring people from YOUR COUNTRY. This might be the new concept for you and maybe first of its kind. But believe me, it is a good idea. I’ll explain it pointwise without creating WoT.

Why am I doing this?

Yesterday, while randomly browsing on YouTube, I realized that there are many idols hidden in our society itself. There are people who are doing great and unique work. But although we’re living in the era of internet, these people aren’t much famous among us. Those videos had less than 1000 views and no comments. The goal of creating this competition is to expose them and introduce them to the rest of the world. It will also help our society as it might inspire someone and if not, those people will receive a donation for their programmes.

Why am I restricting it to your country?

For the competition, anyone from any country will be allowed to participate. But The person they’re writing about should be working in/ born in author’s respective country. It will help you to recognize your own country better and It’ll make you proud. Many counties are multilingual. If that not so famous person is from your country, all the information will be in a language other than English hence only you can understand it. It gives the author an advantage and a chance to the readers to understand it.

Also, there are certain countries we don’t know much about. If you are the one from those countries remember, the first impression is the last impression.

An Example:

This I an example what I expect from you. You are not supposed to write about a famous person like Stephen Hawking. Write someone others don’t know about.

Let me introduce you ADHIK KADAM. In 1998, this man created a foundation named Borderless Foundation. His foundation has adopted more than 100 female children from Kashmir, India. This man lives in Pune, Maharashtra. He is still working in Kashmir. Many of you might be aware of the land dispute between India and Pakistan due to land in Kashmeer. He went there, observed that no one takes care of daughters whom's parents were killed by terrorist. He helped them to get a better life by training them in Kashmir itself. The situation was so dengerous that locals had to make a ring around his camp so the terrorist won't attack them.

While this example is much shorter and isn’t a take, you can write more about person’s lifestory.

I don’t know anyone like that. What should I do?

You’ve internet in your hands, use it. If such information is not available, search on YouTube and then create a take on it. But Do NOT COPY PASTE ARTICLES. If you don’t find them on the internet, I’m sure there are small articles written about them in newspapers or magazines.

What Reward Will I get for winning?

As this contest isn’t official, G@G won’t reward you but no worries, I will only if competition is good enough. I’m not going to be the one to determine if it was good but your response will. While there are many advantages of sharing this, irrespective of that If you want materialistic reward, the Winner will get 20$ Amazon gift card which will be completely sponsored by me (My 7000 xper reward) and if by any chance I win Editor of the month (I won’t because I don’t write sensual or good takes) Then the winner will get 25$ Amazon gift card. I hope competition becomes worth spending it.

Who Will Judge?

The mytake with highest positive comments will win. But Xper 1 (or 2) comments will be ignored because it is quite easy to create another account just for the sake of one comment. While counting, a positive comment will be considered as +1 whereas negative will be considered as -1. For the readers (or judges), rate the words and grammar and not the person you are reading about. Also, images will be ignored as long as mytake owner isn’t the one to create/ draw those images

Rules of Participation: (Can be modified for once)

1) A user cannot submit more than 3 entries

2) Anyone can participate irrespective of xper level, age, and country

3) Takes should be suitable for all age groups hence abusive language will not be allowed

4) It should follow all the community rules

5) Anonymous takes will be disqualified

6) Anonymous opinions will be ignored. It is recommended for author to turn off the anon opinions

7) It is not necessary that take should be promoted although you’ll receive more attention for promoted takes from readers

8) Copy paste isn’t allowed.

9) If an author ignores the question in the opinion section, it’ll be counted as -1 and if the asker is satisfied with the answer, it’ll be counted as +1. If he says I don't know, it will be considered 0

10) Take should contain more than 2000 words

11) If tie takes place, we’ll have editor and influencer community to vote and select winner. But results will be transparent as anyone can see number of comments

12) Controversial takes are not allowed as they tend to get more comments irrespective of quality of content
