Anonymous is made for different reasons. Embarrassing confessions and privacy. Sometimes I want to share my thoughts or personal life but don't want the whole world to know it was me. Fear of being judged for my beliefs, which has happened before.

I agree with what you said. But the anonymous button exists so that people can ask questions and answer opinions without feeling embarrassed. Some people just use it to say things and not get in trouble for their actions. It's sad really.

tbh, if the user really wants to, they can block anonymous answers themselves. there's no need for the feature to be removed by the administrators.

I don't mind the anonymous feature being available.

As paranoid as some people are, the option for extra anonymity, doesn't hurt anyone.

People still troll and say purposely stupid shit, even WITHOUT the anonymous feature! :-P

I use anon when commenting on sexual questions (or posting them) because I fear family or friends will recognize me and judge
