Well I think women could be more clear offline ie make the first move as often as guys do putting guys more in the i need to work on my self mode of thinking rather than the it's a numbers game sort of thinking that ruins it for everyone else
and also i think women tend to think they can be more picky than men do on account of being hit on more and there these dreams of picture perfect idealistic weddings many women grow up with.
basically so many guys acting desperately is a result of the interacting effects socialization rather than directly being anyone's fault.
