Here's the thing. I once met this guy who was constantly complementing me and always saying I was strong and beautiful, and he was sweet and all but too sweet. He never did anything wrong. I know most guys think girls like the romantic guys who are the princes in the Disney movies, but in reality that's not true. In my opinion girls like a guy who is sweet, but also strong and willing to stand up for his opinion. Don't get me wrong I like it when a guy agrees with me on some things, and its important to agree on certain things, but if you constantly do this it shows that you're trying way too hard. Be genuine and yourself, not someone that you think the girl would like

I agree. And I bet ya most guys don't like a girl who tries too hard, either. In any relationship, such behavior is interpreted as desperate or needy. People tend to run from that because a desperate person can be very unconsciously demanding in exchange for their kindness towards you. Being humanely nice is fine, but being too nice often gives the other person the impression of "what's the catch?". As long as one is good to people primarily for the sake of goodness that is, without expecting returns form the other, they'll be fine 🌺
Sometimes Barbie wants Ken to man-up... all women like a little bit of bad boy and mysterious. Single guys never figure that out. No one is looking to try to abuse another but come on "sweet guys/Mom's boy".
You definitely want a strong guy who is good and that is different than nice. A nice but weak guy lacks masculinity and that is and should be a turn off. Strength in a man is not optional.
