Boys stop talking when I walk by?

It's something I've noticed lately, especially now that I'm back at school, whenever I walk by a group of boys who are talking, they all of the sudden just quiet down.. Why does this happen?

It makes me feel really insecure and awkward, and as if something is wrong with me…..

Ignore. there is two types one that they quiet down and one that they say things.
when they quiet down it is mostly because they know you as attractive and there are talks about you between them and they get silent when you pass by, or maybe they are talking about something about themselves that they ignore everyone not just girls at that times. So not important to think about, let it, their behaviour be obvious for you and pass without thinking.
another is when they say things, that is an effect when immature boys are together. they mostly do not do this individually because they are not confident enough. but when they come together they fill each other's lack of confidence and become daring to talk and say things to girls they cannot say individually. the mature one is always the one between them standing and laughing at other boys immaturity. so ignore them again because they are children.

I've noticed this too, especially since I changed to wearing contact lenses instead of glasses. I guess it's because I look better without glasses. So I suppose it means they're just appreciating the view :)

They obviously think you're attractive, you legit "stop traffic" when you walk. They clearly watch you walk because of your obvious beauty

a lot of people do that, even just in public. when my friends and I are walking down the street and across from us is another group of people, they usually get silent. and then start chatting it up again once they're like a good 10 paces away from us. I think people just think its a awkward moment. but I just keep on going my thing, normally when someone starts talking really quiet, I assume they're talking shit about someone else in close proximity. its the natural thing to do when you start talking shit on someone who is nearby. but out in public? I highly doubt they're talking shit, people just tend to quiet down or stop talking or they don't give a fuck like me and keep on being loud hahaa. don't feel insecure.

the reason behind it I feel is the people find it awkward when other people hear their conversations or they don't want others to hear the conversations they're having. I haven't performed any studies or this is just my personal opinion. but it happens a lot I notice. they just suddenly go quiet. so they don't want me to hear what they're saying or they just don't want to talk when passing by.

Being pretty has its advantages so stop being insecure and know that they are dying to be with you

Well you're really really pretty in my opinion. Based on personal experience, us guys tend to get quiet when a hot girl walks by and admire her, after she gets enough distance we react to what we just saw. "Damn that girl is hot!" "Wow did you see those boobs?" I wouldn't worry about it if I were you, it's a good thing :)

It'll happen eventually. It's generally more difficult to approach a girl you don't know without having a good "excuse" especially if she's with friends.
