My boyfriend isn't the same anymore, he's taking things out on me and yelling at me for no reason or the littlest reasons. I need help!?

My boyfriend used to be this big sweetheart and always being cute and playful and funny. But anymore he's just an asshole. He yells at me over the littlest things if I'm trying to get his attention and anything I've done, I've done it all before and he never cared he thought it was cute but now he just goes on defense mode. When he's near me it doesn't feel like him it feels like someone completely different almost like a stranger. We don't hangout anymore because I'm in sports but if I say I miss him or ask to hangout he never seems interested in it anymore. Now we aren't talking and I don't even know if we're still together over things that were said in our previous fight so I'm at a huge loss. What happened to my boyfriend?
