What does it mean when a man stares and watches you all the time?

I have know this man for over three years, for over two years we would talk to each other all the time, mainly by text and email, in the last year it has stopped. This is where it gets confusing, we work together and whenever we are in the same place he will watch me the whole time, he constantly stares at me, deep intense stares sometimes smiling, other times not, he doesn't look away and it is mainly eye contact, he will sometimes check out my body, but mainly he stares at my face. There was a group of us from work that went out for drinks, and we spent the night staring at each other, then half way through the night we were talking together and we ended up just staring in each others eyes for about five minutes, without saying anything, and smiling, he reached out and stroked my face, and then walked away. It was the first time he has ever been affectionate to me. He knows I have feelings for him. Now he won't talk to me at all, but the staring and the watching and the intense eye contact are still there. He also gets extremely jealous if I talk to another guy. Why?

For me when I'm staring at a woman, it means I've fallen in love with her. It can happen also after I already have known her since years. The way I interpret this behaviour (at least if he is not a psychopath), is that he has fallen in love with you, but something keeps him from telling you or move on to you. I don't know your exact history. It could be he is just not sure if you are still into him, or maybe he has difficulties himself to accept that his feelings changed, or maybe he has been dating another woman already and don't want to break up with her for you. This could also be a reason why he stopped talking with you a year ago. Did you already try to ask him directly why he is staring at you? Maybe this could clear things very quickly, but make sure it's in a thrustable environment where he can feel free to talk about his feelings.

I have tried to talk to him by about it, but he isn't interested. He isn't seeing anyone. He has issues with feelings, recently he told a male coworker and me to stop smiling at each other because he could the feel the sexual tension between us, yet there is no sexual tension between this coworker and me, the guy is engaged to be married, we are just friends.

I see, like I said, "at least if he isn't a psychopath". It sounds maybe a bit cruel, but it can be the man has some psychological problems. In that case I'm really not an expert. Maybe he has made some bad eperiences that caused some kind of trauma, I really don't know. I'm just guessing. I hope you can solve it out in some way.

He either likes you or he is a creepy rapist planning his next move. I am pretty sure he likes you tho, so give the second option a grain of salt. But, I still think what he is doing is a bit weird. Staring at you all the time, that's definitely weird.
