From what I see its usually that way when it comes to shy guys. They never say anything to her instead hoping one day she'll jump into a relationship with them as if they were supposed to know it the entire time. In the mean time they'll be crying like little girls on sites like this, whining about how girls never go for the nice guys. Its because the "bad" ones (men) are the ones with the confidence to approach the girl, thus they get her.

So yea if you like a shy guy and you end up doing the work for him, you can look forward to having to take on many other typically guy responsibilities, since they're too much of a girl to even tell you they like you.

I can see where you're coming from, how come this guy is only shy around me, and he's so friendly and hyper with his female buds and cousins? he actually used to be a bad boy but he turned nice over the years...i guess people grow up and become different, I still like him

You can't help who you like but if you want to be in a good relationship you have to let the guy be a man. If he isn't then you'll have some really hard and confusing times.

Eventually it comes down to one of two things for the shy guy: disclose their feelings for the woman and try to make something happen, or keep silent and admire her from afar. The majority (including myself until age 20) select the second option because they don't have the assertiveness or the courage to act on their desires, but the old saying "no guts, no glory" is phrased that way for a reason.

That's a rough situation - either he needs to develop some true self-confidence, or this dating opportunity will pass him by and he won't even know it. If worse comes to worse and it seems like he won't approach you, perhaps you could approach him and see what happens from there.

Im a shy guy and I would confess, in fact, I already did, although I was blushing the whole time. If I knew she liked me, and I saw her alone, I would approach her, even though I would be nervous as hell. But I would have to know she liked me.

Well how did he say hi? Did he look awkward saying it or uncomfortable? if he did, then isolate yourself. It would really help me if that girl isolated herself, and look approachable, it makes my day when my crush notices me and cares and thinks about me.
