He Forgot my Last name?

The guy I thought was interested in me, we went to high school together, walked down grad aisle together, and etc... I see him every Thursday and Sunday frequently, and people call me by my last name, he knows my first name but I was checking something out and he said "What was your last name again?" He also didn't remember certain things I've told him like what I'm majoring for in college, so I'm kind of upset about it, even though I know guys can have bad memories,

Do you think that a guy who is interested in a Girl will forget her last name, even if she's called by it by everyone? Is that peculiar, or was he trying to drop a hint that he's just not that into me?

I wouldn't take it quite so personally, some people just don't retain information like that. I have close friends who I've known for years who never remember my birthday or always have to ask me what my major is. Even though those things are important to me and I know their birthdays and majors, it just doesn't stick in their brain the same way. I don't take it too personally because I know that they do care about me in other ways.

Of course, he could always make the point to brand the information in his brain if he really really wanted to. I wouldn't look into this behavior as an indication of how he feels about you. You might want to make a point to say something and tease him like "hey, haven't I told you this before?" or "shouldn't you know my last name by now?" just in a joking way. You could also think about it this way: if he's asking again, he's still wants to know them about you (even if he keeps forgetting).

Don't worry so much and look for hints that he likes you in other ways :)

This happened to me, but I didn't know the guy well.

Did he forget, or did he never know to begin wiht.

If he forgot, it is a big deal, but not that much, but if he never knew, it means he never cared to find out.

I think he is hinting, maybe not intentionally, that he's not that into you, because if he really liked you, he wouldn't just casually ask what your last name was; it'd be obvious to him it'd upset you for him to forget like that, so he'd be more tactful about the whole thing.

If he liked you, I think a key thing is even if he'd forgotten it, he'd try to majorly cover it up.

I find it funny if he forgot something so simple (like your last name in this case) but remembers something so irrelevant and small about you that you would think that is not important?

I doubt a guy would forget a girl's last name, as long as he knew it in the first place and he likes her. I don't know if he was dropping the hint. But whether he was or not, this should indicate to you that he is not the one for you.

Okay wait now how would this apply to a man who dated you for 3years knowing you for 2more years making a whole 5years knowing you and calls it a "brain fart" like what? Knowing dang well he forgot my last name! I'm hurt I feel rightfully so I feel this is personal 😭

It's weird that he doesn't know your last name. I would say he's not interested, but it seems like you guys are friends and I find it odd that he doesn't know your name. Is he forgetful in other ways that you have noticed?

No, if he honestly liked you he would remember things about you. You being called by your last name and then him not remembering it is a big thing for him to forget.
