So a guy I've been seeing off and on occasionally calls me buddy. We work together. We've hung many times and both enjoy each others company. We've also been intimate (several times). He flirts with me, text me , tells me I'm hot, sexy, cute all the time. He's also respectful of me.

Once in a blue moon though, I would catch him calling me buddy or bud? What does this mean?
